Clean & quiet.

This hotel is quite isolated so you need a car to get there (we had a rental car). Clean & quiet, but we booked a kitchenette unit & were quite disappointed as it didn't have much to offer.....only 1 frying pan and no other cookware, only 1 large plate and 1 large glass for two people, no way to utilize the kitchen even if all you want to do is make sandwiches! Would recommend this hotel only if you have a car and want a clean & quiet place to sleep for a night.

Hotel management need to improve facilities

First time I stayed at Amazonia was 15 years ago, this time it seemed like during this time hotel management has simply neglected upgrading or even maintaining the comfort level we customers expect. Most appliances don’t work, bar fridge has all interior totally damaged, handles on doors missing. To have an idea I suppose the CRT tv (currently only seen in museums) is how they see the leap in technology. Cannot even see definition ... and lastly how is it possible that the WiFi cannot be accessed in rooms only in foyer... come on routers are cheap now days. Step up ! Your competition has.

Half-hour from Lisbon

Much cheaper thank in city, it is close to major highways and provides good base for exploring Lisbon, Evora, and for getting to the airport quickly. The reception staff was extremely helpful. However, the pool was not ready for use, the room needs to be refreshed (carpet, sofa, bedspread), and the cleaning was not very efficient (icky shower curtain, some kitchen utensils unclean, balcony not swept for over a week). Upon leaving the room, it was impossible to close the door without slamming it shut, making for a very noisy situation, especially when busloads of asian tourists noisily left their rooms at 6 o'clock in the morning.

Stop over for the nigjt

We only stayed one night after a flight in to Lisbon. Had many features like the kitchenette, etc that we did not use. The area did not seem to have much close by.

Terrible experience

The lift was not working. The shower was not working The wifi was not working. Cleaning was subpar. The swimming pool was not clean. Stay away from this hotel. I feel deceived by its rate on Travelocity. It does not reflect the real conditions of that place, at all.

Had better days!!!

This apartohotel is coming apart. Iguess that a decade ago, it was a cute hide out. Nowadays the front is peeling; nothing like the nice photos they published. The beds are sagging and the sink clogs. The adress given does not appear in the garmin GPS; use google maps instead. The hotel is not in Palmela; but on the outskirts.

Ideal for us

A great location for exploring Alentejo and enjoying the fantastic food and wine. Very easily access from Lisbon airport via the Vasco da Gama bridge and the A33. The staff were very friendly and helpful and although the surriounding area was not particularly attractive Palmela more than made up for it and the local restaurants served excellent food
