Breakfast was not typical. Had local pastries, whole grain bread options. Good OJ, top grade yogurt. Make your own pancakes and waffles along with cereals, fresh fruit and choices of milk. Rooms are spacious and clean.

The breakfast options were top notch. We were on the first floor, fortunately, because we noticed that there was no elevator. We were hesitant to book this hotel since it was not a chain, but was pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness and the comfort of the room.

The stay here was great! The gentleman at the front desk was very kind. The breakfast is almost all organic items from Costco which was so awesome. No issues. Everything was clean. I’d stay here again if I ever go back to this area.

It’s a converted EconoLodge. Rooms are clean and has been renovated with wood floors (none of that yucky carpet on typical motels) and new-ish bathrooms. Stayed for 6 nights for a baseball tournament. Loved the continental breakfast every morning with make-your-own waffles, auto pancake maker, sausages and eggs. Great way to start the morning. Even has on-site laundry machine/dryer. Area has everything you need - grocery store (Kroger/QFS and Safeway), Walgreens, Super WalMart and a Costco. Plus a lot of restaurant choices near by. I would definitely stay at Ocean Star again if I am in the area.

Great for Local Getaway

My son and wife stayed here for a quick, child free getaway. They said everything was great. The only negative comment was that there were not enough bed pillows. But when they asked for more, were quickly accommodated.
