This was one of the best hotel i have ever experienced Everything was perfect.specially room service is very fast. Breakfast is very good. Hotel is well connected with 510 number city bus and 600 number airport bus Good stay
Overall a very nice hotel. Room is spacious and clean. Food is very pricey within the hotel but the concierge is able to provide recommendations of nearby restaurants. The hotel is situated on a cliff and the private access to the beach is via a long flight of stairs which may pose a problem for senior folks.
If I could give 6 stars I would, this place is beyond amazing. My wife and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary and it was perfect. From reception to the room, the grounds, restaurants, and impeccable service the staff should be proud of their work. The level of professionalism and service by the staff was to a level we have never experienced. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices. We will definitely go back again.
Stayed for 2 days 01 night and the stay was fabulous even if it was a short stay. The total property is fantastic. The buffet dinner and breakfast was wow. The pool is open until late and that is great as the kids can enjoy. All rooms are sea facing. The ground floor has traditional Korean rooms with the heated floor. The best is the separated bungalows with private pool
Great stay on Jeju especially with children. Stayed their with our son (infant) and great service and hospitality as you are used to by Lotte. Room with ocean view is great to also just relax in the room. Will go again
Stayed at the hotel for two nights during a week-long trip through Korea. Hotel is about 45min to 60min away from the airport, depending on traffic, it runs about W37,000, and easy to get cabs at the airport. The hotel has an airport shuttle, but I think it only runs at certain times and we didn't want to wait. Check-in was busy, but was relatively straightforward. The hotel grounds are clean and beautiful. Pools are large with lots of screaming kids, beach is a short walk down a path. Rooms were clean and of a good size. They did feel a little older in nature, but were well kept. I did notice a musty old smell in the hallways which I couldn't figure out what it was. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, tried to help, most spoke English which made things easier for us. The concierge desk (Cindy) was very helpful with arranging a private tour (English speaking) to take us to some of the natural sites near the hotel (cheongjiyeon falls, cheongjeyeon falls, jeongbang falls, oedalgae, jusangjeollie) which took about 3 hours and cost W120,000. We had Mr Shawn as our tour guide, who was solid in explaining everything to us. This is the best way to see everything. The challenge during our stay was food. The restaurants at the hotel are over priced for mediocre food. Fortunately, there are a couple restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We breakfast at Starbucks (note, it opens later than what we are used to in the US), ate at the "chicken and beer" spot next door, which was tasty fried chicken, but not good for the diet and finally, we ate at the Korean restaurant in the plaza next door (on the first floor) which was average, but more reasonably priced. What would make this hotel better: more reasonably priced hotel food, having a coffee shop that sells a la carte breakfast, a concierge that can print boarding passes, an adults only pool section and upgrades to the rooms. Overall we had a great stay.
Yes there are some issues here that are legitimate but this review is about a personal experience that exceeded my expectations 1) our checkin looked to be a looming disaster as we were early and none of our rooms were ready. But Mr. Been at the front desk was so kind to transfer our rooms to a larger suite upgrade that was available. It was a gorgeous 3000 sq ft suite that rivaled the best villa suites of Encore and Bellagio and the extra attention was kindly appreciated 2) Bob Kim the concierge went above and beyond to help us map out a detailed East Jeju itinerary with a private driver which really made our entire trip. He spent the time to take care of each detail in a real 5 star “Peninsula” fashion. I realize that these fortunate interactions would probably not be the norm but my family and I are grateful we could be the beneficiaries of this stellar service. Btw we just came from Hawaii and the beach there is a replica of some of the best kid friendly ones in terms of wave activity and temperature...
On my summer vacation with my wife for a 3 day stay The outdoor pool is terribly overcrowded, couldn't stay for an hour may try the evening, but afraid it will be crowded too, I would like to express my dire commentations on the staff that did not inform me of the construction going on on the fitness club/indoor pool. Went to the pool at 6 am only to discover that it was under renovation, I had previously asked a staff on the opening time of the pool the other day he absolutely forgot to inform me of the rennovation process!! We enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning, sadly to say, the coffee served at the morning buffee has much to be desired This is not the first time I have been here but I was reminded why I did not frequent it more, I would recommend the Shilla which is but 100m away.
we stayed in this hotel for four nights and find out that the experience of staying here is such a nightmare, never gonna come back again ! 1) The location is very far from the city center, and we need to spend one hour time to travel across, it already wastes much of our time 2) we wait for about one hour minutes to check in into the counter and settle down in our hotel room since there are too many people arrival, and they receive us rather large amount of deposit, that shock us on our first day, we lose whole day of travelling also 3) there are no any places nearby the hotel, just only museum, nor even a supermarket, so it is very inconvenient for us to buy appliances and food 4) we find out that the hotel room is not cleaned every time we come back hotel, suppose there should be staff for cleaning our room, but no, which disappoint us 5) starting from 7-8pm every night, the exact time I forget, there will be loud noise outside the swimming pool, people singing loudly on the pool stage, so we cannot have a peaceful and silent night to rest 6) everything is money here! we are shocked that the hotel booking does not include breakfast, but the breakfast buffet is about four times of our meal in hong kong, just like a luxury buffet meal in 5 star hotel in hong kong for just a breakfast! we go to 7-11 and buy a bread to eat.......... 7) staff does not have good english skills too, language barrier causing our trip a hell, we finally come up with gesture to express ourselves! 8) the outside view of room is just a swimming pool, not a lake view originally stated in our booking! we think maybe swimming pool can be interpreted as a lake! .... 9) no any trip, will like to go to this hotel to take up tourists for travel since it is too far! If you book a trip, you need to take 600 airport bus to city center and wait pick up, or else you need to spend one hour to take taxi (very expensive) to go to city center at last sorry to say that never ever gonna come back again!
We stayed here as a couple on the 13th July 2019.5 Star rating definitely not. 30 mins standing around to check in, then finally given our room which was a 5 minute walk away on the other side of the hotel, the hallways smelt of rotten carpet and the decor is tacky and old. The room was cleaned well though. no information for guests in the room and walked out on the balcony to a view of the pool with screaming and noisy children. This is a family hotel with a pool as entertainment.Entertainment for couples is non existant albeit a casino for non Koreans if you want to waste for money. If you like noise then great. I have nothing against children or families but there was no opportunity anywhere for peace and quiet without yelling and screaming. At $500 a night that is disappointing. Breakfast was good and came included, however other meals at the restaurants were not and were very expensive. Basic buffet $115 per head not Inc drinks. Italian restaurant most pastas start at 50 AUD. We also paid for club class lounge that was also a mistake. You get sat in a dark confined windmill with minimal light and 2 choices of beer both of which were Luke warm. The 2 wine choices. The food served was prebagged plastic type cheese, chocolate buttons, dried prunes, beef jerky and tortilla chips that's it. I also checked into here basically because I wanted to play golf bad mistake as a single golfer you can't. No golf. Concierge could not even assist. I won't be back here again. Oh there was a shop in the hotel for your Louis Vitton items.
