You get what you paid for

An outdated hotel with decent condition and service. Room definitely need renovation especially the bathroom as the condition is pretty bad, noisy exhaust fan, broken tap and shower. Had a problem with mosquito and informed the receptionist to get it fixed, but the problem returned the day after. When we first checked in, I noticed that the room has not been cleaned properly as the carpet still looks dirty and food crumbs were spotted under the bedside table. Everyday when we were walking out of the hotel, there's sewerage smells on the driveway which was pretty bad.

Not very difficult to find the location. Very near to lawang sewu and nearerst shopping mall - paragon mall. Check in process smooth. Inside room : overall oki Pros: Room services 24hrs. Strategic location Provide grab apps to use by visitor Room internet still oki The bath room temperature very good. Just nice. To improve: pillow only hv 1 each person. And too soft Carpet n furniture quite aged

Old school Dafam offers style and good service.

I like the Dafam. No frills but big, clean, rooms. Old chairs. Nice old school feel with a lively bar and friendly musicians. Great location in a city where you can walk. I stayed at the Dafam twice and would stay there again.

Dafam hotel stay

Nice pleasant stay, very attentive friendly staff and great service at the restaurant. Although the room showed signs of wear, the room was spacious and comfortable. The WIFI tends to drop often. Location is good, walking distance to DP Mall where Carrefore is, also not far from Paragon Mall. The hotel is also near to Lawang Sewu. Overall I enjoyed the stay there.

Prachtig hotel aan de grote weg. Van daaruit met taxi overal makkelijk te bereiken. Er is elke avond levende muziek in de lounge room. Het ontbijt is te vergelijken met een uitgebreid warme maaltijd en vruchten.

Nice hotel nearby to the city

Checking in was quite fast with a welcome drink. Breakfast buffet offer a wide variety of choices. The hotel is located nearby to the Paragon shopping mall. Call room service for supper and the service was quite fast. They have a massage and spa centre located at the hotel. I try the massage and its ok. Overall its a good hotel to consider if you are travelling to Semarang.

Hotel is only 6 years, but it feels much older. The hotel feels quite oldfashioned. Very dark and almost a bit spoky. Breakfast and breakfast area is not very pleasant. This hotel will not be my first choice, next time I visit Semarang.

cheap price but high quality, near 'Lawang Sewu'

I really enjoyed my staying here. Good bed, good breakfast, cheap price but high quality, no traffic jam in front of my hotel, the cleanliness of the room, near some of heritage buildings such as 'Lawang Sewu', etc.

Good

Hotel Dafam Semarang is good, value for money & courteous. Their breakfast spread is lavish and good. In the evening it is lively some time you have singers performing at the lobby near the bar. Unfortunately their restaurant ala carte menu food quality is poor and expensive. Therefore you may try number of restaurants nearby for meals. The location of the hotel is good.

What we like the most about this hotel is that the breakfast. There are so many choices of food and most of them are delicious. Try the traditional menu of the breakfast! Very recommended. This hotel is also in a good location; close to airport, train station, mall, restaurants. There is only one thing that we don't like; one night when we stayed there, there was a live music and some people smoked inside the building, in front of the lobby specifically. It was full of smoke. It's very irritating for people who don't smoke. The hotel should have a swimming pool, then it will be perfect.

Horrible staff attitude but clean and tidy rooms!!

The check-in at this hotel was a nightmare. My friend and I were travelling by road from nearby islands to Semarang for 6 hours and reached this hotel at 2 pm which is the usual check-in time. When reached, the guy at the reception told me that my room was not ready and I had to wait for 20-30 minutes. But, the hotel took 1.5 hours to give me my room keys. So we waited in their restaurant all that time. The food at the restaurant was not really good. The meat was dry and seems quite old. We ordered for drinks in the restaurant and they told us that they could not serve us those drinks because they do not want to open their new bottles of spirits (vodka and rum) for us. Really bad attitude towards their customers. The reception staff had no regret all that while and there was no sorry for them to keep us waiting. Really, I do not expect this from a hotel which has received so many awards from different organization of being the best business hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.
