since I was here last time the internet has improved also the room I was in (509) was clean and well presented with a nice view of the local area the road noise at that high off the ground its not a problem as the is double glazing the staff were bilingual and polite other than that average hotel
We stayed here because it is cheap, you can park the car and it is right next to the Metro. The rooms are not large but clean and well equipped although the window doesn't open. Admittedly it is not in the smartest part of town but it is only yards from the Metro so that is of no consequence.
Stayed here for three nights during the end of summer. Very convenient location for tourist, the metro station is just in front of the hotel. There's a mall at the back of the hotel with a halal eatery and a supermarket. The room and the bathroom were both spacious and clean. Bed was pretty comfortable. But I don't felt safe walking around there.
Initial impressions are nothing special. Hotel is located overlooking the Peripherique motorway.....but inside it is triple glazed, very quiet, clean and comfy. All for a ridiculously cheap price. Moments from train station to centre of Paris. Supermarket next door. Decent brekkie. Only issue was that it is a pig to find by car!!!! The car park is impossible to find by sat nav and it took me an hour of driving around the local area. But that aside....very good budget hotel.
Negative...no air-conditioning in bedrooms. Despite this it still deserved 5* rating. There is air-conditioning in all the public areas and ventilation in the rooms...however as we were 4 in one room so it did get stuffy. When I said this to the desk we were given a large fan for the room...problem solved. Staff kept our luggage in a locked room free of charge after checking out. Galleni metro with access to all of Paris in minutes, and a bus to Charles Dr Gaulle is at the doorstep of the hotel....greatly convenient. Travelodge type simplicity in decor...and very clean. And it all came in at €15pps. So happy.
We had a pretty nice room, the hotel is quietly. The services are pretty good and breakfast is ok (considering is France after all). There is problem when waiting at elevators (is possible to wait more than 5 min). Is very closed to underground station and this could be a great advantage when starting your visit in Paris. There is also a supermarket Auchan and commercial galleries nearby.
the hotel was clean the room for me is okay with the price but i concern is the neighbourhood area is looked like not so safety but there is nothing happen on us. oh ya if you rent a big car so you cant enter the parking space. and there is a mall besides this hotel there is paul and supermarket.
Tha hotel is bus station area very risky during night time We did not dare even for a walk Nothing is near by except a small mall with supermarket and some fast food restaurants More than 250 room with only 2 staff at the reception Very busy hotel and overloaded staff Basically it was kind of bed and breakfast only
We were driving to Paris but didn't want to be in the centre due to parking restrictions so the location of this Campanile was excellent - only 10 minutes directly to Republique from the Galieni Metro right outside the hotel. The secure parking was great - once we squeezed our van under the barrier (we weren't aware it was underground originally). Luckily, once we were inside, it had the added advantage of being in a secure locked area which was a bonus and for €10/day good value for money for Paris. It's also on the site of a huge shopping complex if you want to cater for yourselves. I have seen negative reviews about the local area, and while there are homeless people outside we didn't feel threatened or uncomfortable returning at night. At the end of the day, it's a budget hotel and it served it's purpose of being somewhere to sleep within easy access of the city. The rooms are small but ours was comfortable and clean. The best thing about the hotel during our stay was the staff - they were all very friendly and helpful - even advising me to book an extra room online rather than at reception which saved me around €30!
Travelling with Europamundo and promised 4 star hotels...in fact on the sheet planning trip there was two hotels that we may be hosted during our trip to Paris: Courtyard Marriott Paris St Denis or Novotel Saint Denis both 4 stars....well they gave us this piece of crap hotel, the neighborhood is in one of the worst parts of Paris, just looking outside of the window is crowded with homeless sleeping on the street (nothing against them...) the tour guide warned us about wandering outside of the hotel at night he implied as dangerous neighborhood, the A/C doesn't work no matter how many calls to the front desk and getting rude answering from the clerk by the way room windows don't open for security reasons (again the colorful neighborhood) so you can imagine the horrible night me and family had to endure in July...it gets my attention that Americans, Australian, Latinamerican reviews inTripadvisor are pretty bad whereas Europeans talk midly about their experience in the hotel....go figure !! The beds are old mattresses and pillow flats as wood boards...avoid it or be prepared for a taste of a bad "hoteling"experience...
