Booked this room for my parents to celebrate their anniversary, and they had a horrible experience. They were given a room right next to the tavern and did not get much sleep due to the noise from 10 pm to 3 am. My mom called and spoke to the hotel manager Katherine Libby and she could care less about what she had to say. The fridge smelled like rotten fish. The room had cobwebs in the corners of the room and the bathroom smelled musty. Will not be booking here again.

We usually enjoy staying at the Kathryn every year but this trip really made us question if we want to continue staying. The hotel staff are very nice but the cons really outweighed the pros. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room the entire 3 nights we stayed, you have to ask for clean towels, the hot tub was out of order and the sauna didn’t work after multiple attempts x a few days to get it to warm up it never did, our room was pretty banged up and a dog had clearly been left in the bathroom as there was scratches all over the door. Overall it just seemed very dirty this year and we were left feeling disappointed in our stay.

This hotel was an unexpected find! The price seemed to be a very good value for a hotel with a number of nice amenities, including breakfast (delicious and numerous options), a pool/jacuzzi/sauna area (they were quick to notify guests in advance of a repair to the jacuzzi and it was done earlier than expected), complimentary cookies in the afternoon and smoked salmon chowder in late afternoon. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, and had small balconies overlooking the river, which was beautiful. Every staff person I spoke with was extremely pleasant and made sure that my stay was comfortable and as pleasant as possible. All in all, this hotel was a 10 out of 10 for me!

We got a room with the spa and I was so surprised on how big the spa was. The staff were very very friendly. My reservations didn’t show on there end but was able to find it and get me to my room.

Great place, excellent location!

This hotel was a great find. It was so close to everything and was very cozy! If you are going to the convention center- this was the perfect place- within walking distance. Great bars and restaurants near by! bring your swim suit as there is a pool and jacuzzi and it is open late!
