This place is just perfect for a stay in Gualala. The owner/manager is so wonderful, she is so nice and accommodating. It’s been 15 years since my last stay prior to this one. I’ll definitely be back! Beautiful serene place on the property to watch the sunset as well👍👍👍

New Simmons Beautyrest beds with a pillow top are super cozy. Unbelievable location nearest Gualala River meets Pacific Ocean. Morning breakfast offered a wide variety of items and a fancy coffee single serve machine. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of parking.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Jade was such a pleasure to deal with and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. The property itself was gorgeous, fabulous room with super comfy beds and great views, bountiful free breakfast in the morning, walking distance to stores and restaurants, amazing hikes nearby...we loved it here and hope to visit again soon! Clean room. Wonderful staff. Rooms a little dated but they were fixing up some things this coming week. Beds could use a little updating still though. Nice property. Very chill environment. I had the beach view room which was great to wake up to and hear the waves crashing in the middle of the night. Very friendly staff, shout outs to jade for being so kind and sweet. Definitely will be going back in the near future.

It was a perfect stay, not only because of the five star ratings I just gave for cleanliness, attentiveness, affordability and location, but because of Jade, and her generosity as as the Surf Inn’s representative. Her welcome. Her goodbye, the spread she put out for breakfast for me and only one other guest. She’s a keeper. I’ve stayed at the Surf Inn often and have always enjoyed it. This stay was special because of Jade.

Jade at the office was one of the best service people I've come across in all my time, did everything she could to make us as comfortable as possible, voluntarily. Couldn't be happier. The continental breakfast was nothing too unusual, however it was done with care rather than just placed out junk sweets. Just one example is the hard boiled eggs weren't overdone by an hour or whatever they do at most hotels that turn the yolks into green dry clumps. I usually don't bother with reviews even with reasonably decent places because "nice" but nothing outstanding doesn't help, but this was definitely worth finding.
