We spent 4 nights here as we toured the Highlands. Was comparable to other Holiday Inns we've stayed at in the states. The hotel had great wifi, which was a big perk as we didn't have cellular access in Scotland. The staff was awesome. The steered us to the Snow Goose for dinner and it was delicious. They called cabs when we didn't want to drive into the city center and were just very helpful.
This was like any other Holiday Inn Express in the world...except this one had no air conditioning. In all fairness it is located in the Scottish Highlands and probably has little need for it on most days. However, we were there on a warm day with 4 people in a room with a single tabletop fan...and it was hot. The food was a little less appetizing than previous Holiday Inn Express'...but free and edible.
Same room as usual 40%more expensive even for a Priority Club Member - we were tired and just needed to sleep. Next time I have £170 to spend I am off to the Kingsmill. Staff still great but highway robbery still exists in the highlands. Still at least we could not hear the concert -
What you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. OK, efficient, but not worth this particular night's corporate rate of £149. Glad I'm not paying. I do however have an issue with some obvious, um, stains on the sofa. Lots of them. No further information required.
We stayed for 2 nights. Rooms are quite small but clean and comfortable. There is plenty of parking. Not many restaurants in the vicinity and we chose to go to the downtown area where there are plenty of options as it was just a 10 min drive. There was not much variety in the breakfast (which was included in the rate) but it was adequate. Staff were friendly.
We stayed for one night. Basic but comfortable room. Clean and well appointed for a small room. Breakfast was included and was more than fine. All and all quite reasonable for the price. Happy to recommend
Well located hotel. Rooms were clean. There was some problem with the plumbing in the washroom which was promptly attended to. The room was however a little small for 3 people and devoid of amenities; there was no closet! But then that I guess is part and parcel of Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast was OK but the option to carry away a croissant or fruit was a great option. The only issue, if any, I would have to say is the price- it is pricey for a small town hotel.
A warm welcome, a comfortable room and a lovely breakfast with an option to pick up a roll with a breakfast filling and go if you are in a hurry wee poke to carry it in a well. Nothing more needs to be said about this express hotel
We stayed here for 7 nights recently. We used this as our home base as we explored the Highlands. The rooms are clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My husband went down to the lobby a few times to get a drink and watch soccer games, in the evening. Parking is plentiful. There are many conveniences located close to the hotel, which made it nice for getting waters, pharmacy items, and all of that. The Snow Goose restaurant is right there and the food is very good. But it's so hot in there, that we stopped going!, Unfortunately for me , t was a record heat wave while we were there! can't control nature though :) After we left here, we booked other HI in both North England and in Wales. This one was much much nicer in staff and in comfort!
Poor bed conditions , after a long drive we could not get sound sleep due to bedding , springs seems to be coming out , sofa cum bed also very bad , all family members getting pain in backs . Not Upto the standards of holiday Inn group of hotels Very bad experiences
