Basic h/ I Xpress 4/5 mins drive to city centre and airport.easy accessible from dual carriageway. Tidy, well kept clean rooms. Very basic menu with couple of starters, 3/4 mains and pizza all cooked in merry chef oven as they are pre prepaired ready to go. Pub with restaurant 30 secs. From hotel entrance or 5 mins walk or 2 mins in car to retail park with a couple of restaurants. Typical Xpress bfast with cereal, toast, yogurt and 4 hot items, beans, scrambled egg, sausage and bacon. When I was there bacon was fatty, sausages overcooked and egg powdery. Staff cheerful and helpful when reqd. As an ihg member who stays 80+ nights per year across possibly 10/12 hotels it's pretty standard fair with no outstanding points to mention. Still waiting on my welcome bonus points 2 weeks after stay however.
Good Hotel -- all OK, except one issue. They have a "rule" that the TV in the lounge / bar area MUST be on the News channel. We (2A + 2C) were in the lounge area on Friday 17/Nov Evening --- no other persons were in the lounge. We asked for the TV channel to be changed to show BBC 1 -- "Children in Need" -- they refused to change the channel --- no good at all -- not even to watch a charity programme. We could have sat on the beds in our room ---- not ideal as you want to relax and watch TV in the lounge area !!!
We recently stayed here with our 2 young sons. The check in staff were very friendly and the room was very cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient but they could do with more selection and include scotch pancakes. Would definitely stay there again.
Stayed in this hotel many a time and dependant on the price always will do when in Inverness on business as the location is spot in. You know what you get with a holiday inn express, basic but good and clean. Food basic so never eat. In them, but always a pub close by and in this case 5 minutes walk away is a Pizza Hut. Breakfast good. However on this stay I went to the pub for a meal and came back and ordered a pint of larger option was bud light which I don't like or Stella so I ordered Stella but because I don't like the Stella glass I asked for it to be served in a bud light glass and the lady said it was illegal and I laughed but she was serious and would not do this, now if this was illegal I am sure thousands of pubs in the world are guilty. I later found out this I not illegal but if. Done on purpose to trick you into thinking your getting. Something your not then trading standards could fine them, but because I asked for it , it should not be a problem. Maybe easier to take my own glass next time and then pour it out of the Stella glass, it entrained me anyway and my friends on Facebook had a good laugh, including some that one pubs
We used the hotel for 10 days while working in the area good hotel good clean bedroom with free wifi bathroom always clean with powerful shower plenty of tea coffee sugar and milk, hot breakfast from 6,30am which was was ideal as we had to leave at 7am overall a great stay
Excellent room on the ground floor near Reception, however quieter than my 2nd floor room the week before. Nice and friendly, even had a free drink one evening as part of their market research evening. Can't find any faults with either facilities or staff, and don't let no evening catering put you off as an excellent place opposite the front door across the shared car park.
It was only one night. The room was clean and attended perfectly to my family (me, my wife and two little daughters - 4 / 2 years). Comfortable included linens and towels. Facilities for making cofee. To be better, only if there was a refrigerator.
Great stay, clean and a large room. We were travelling with our Scottie dog and he was welcomed in the non food, public areas and we had a room convenient for getting in and out of the hotel. The staff were probably some of the best staff I have come across at a hotel in the last couple of years and the room is exactly what you would expect from and HIE, a good size, clean, air conditioned and comfortable. Plenty of parking on site and whilst the hotel is quite a way out from the centre of Inverness, anyone visiting must go to the Snowgoose, again, pet friendly and we had an excellent meal. My only slight criticism of the hotel would be the price hike in the busy months, but this is probably down to the large demand and limited supply of hotels in Inverness.
I stayed here a lot after it opened and it was excellent. Hadn’t stopped here for a while though as they seemed to have priced themselves out compared to travel lodge and premier inns. For a change it was cheaper here this time so I booked it. A nice welcome from Scott and we went to our room. It was ok. The office space was nice but rooms in need of a make over and the heater wasn’t brilliant. The bed was a normal double bed size and I thought it would have been a bit bigger but hey ho. Considering the price for £67 I thought it was a bit steep. The breakfast however was really good and the WiFi was free which was good too. If they kept the prices reasonable around I’d say under £50 it might bring them back in the market again for the likes of me. I’m in these places for around 50 nights a year and I need to shop around for the best deals and due to prices it’s not often holiday inns/ express.
This is a clean, spacious and friendly holiday inn. We had an overnight stay here on our to the highlands and it exceptional. The breakfast was really good, the rooms lovely and clean and fresh and the staff couldn't not have been nicer, even when a member of our party accidentally set the toaster alight!!! Anne was really nice. We will definitely stay here again.
