This is located on the same property as Bumble Bee Cabin VRBO 2026077 which is owned and operated together with see Dragonfly Cabin. The Cabin is a brand new designer decorated property which offers the ultimate in relaxation for you and your family and guests! Relax and dine outside on the scenic front porch by the fire pit as you look toward the majestic evergreens and beautiful pond equipped with a fountain. Soak in the 6’ solid surface tub in the master bath. The gourmet kitchen has high end appliances and is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a delicious feast with seating for 6. The cabin is fed by a spring with the most refreshing and delicious water. The master bedroom has a Temperpedic mattress. Listen to the babbling brook coming down the side of the mountain as you nap on the porch swing bed or enjoy visiting with family and friends. Adjust the temperature to your liking with added mini split units in the upstairs bedrooms.

The cottage comes with a pass to Sky Valley Country club amenities which includes two hot tubs, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, a full size Olympic pool, a fitness center with locker rooms and a park. For those walking enthusiasts there are miles of wonderful roads to cover. This is all within walking distance from the cabin.

The property is located close to many area attractions. Julep Farms, Highlands Outpost, Highlands Areal Park zip line, and the Vineyard are a five minute drive. Highlands, Clayton and Franklin are each less than a 20 minute drive.

Wonderful farmhouse

This was our second time staying at this home. It's in a wonderful location and very relaxing. The front porch is peaceful and great for a quiet nap or for sitting with family/friends. The beds are extremely comfortable and the host has thoughtfully provided everything you need. The location is close to Highlands, Clayton and Franklin. A wonderful place to stay.

Everything about this cabin is amazing! Located just near Sky Valley, you get all the amenities but with the feel of privacy. The cabin is beautifully decorated and comes equipped with every you could possibly think of to make your stay feel like you’re at home. The view is breathtaking! We came during peak fall foliage and the view from the porch did not disappoint! This was by far the best cabin we’ve ever stayed in and hope to stay here again!

Fantastic weekend near Highlands, NC

If anyone is looking for a place to stay near Highlands, NC look no farther than Dragonfly Cabin at Scaly Mt. The pictures on line are great but truly don’t do justice to this magnificent property. We would go back for another stay whenever possible. It is meticulously decorated and impeccably clean. From the moment we walked in to the property we felt at home. It is obvious the restoration of Dragonfly Cabin was a labor of love, and it shows in the attention to detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It is a 10 out of 10. It was hard to leave but we will be back.

Lovely and Fun

Nicest property we have stayed at in the highlands/franklin area and we have been visiting 3-4 times a year for 5 years to be near family. The host is very helpful but considerate of guest’s privacy. Everything you might need is provided. Very peaceful and relaxing, with opportunities for many things to do. loved our sta.
