NEGATIVES-GREATLY LACKING IN AMENITIES ON THE GROUNDS. NO TV. INTERNET WOULD NOT WORK FOR ANYONE. CELL PHONE SERVICE VERY WEAK.ONLY 2 CHAIRS FOR EXTERIOR SEATING OUTDOORS IN THE COMMON AREAS. OVERPRICED ONSITE MEALS. DIFFICULT TO FIND THE PROPERTY AS SIGNS INTO PROPERTY ENTRANCE DON'T EXIST OR ARE CONFUSING AFTER ARRIVING ON THE GROUNDS. PRICING FOR THE CABINS IS HIGH. MINIMALIST
FURNISHINGS AND DECORATIONS IN CABIN. POSITIVES- HIGH ALTITUDE,3800', WHICH MEANS COOL AIR AND NO AC IN CABINS GENERALLY NEEDED. GROUNDS ARE WELL MAINTAINED AND CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN. NICE MOUNTAIN VIEWS. QUIET ENVIROMENT. STAFF IS RESPONSIVE BUT NOT OVERLY WARM AND WELCOMING.
Used Fire Mountain as overflow lodging for Family Thanksgiving visit. Very friendly and accommodating. Allowed for a safe and healthy gathering with family that might not have been possible given concerns of the risks of the pandemic had Fire Mountain not been available to us. Thanks for your part in our family memories!
The “treehouse” room we occupied had no TV, refrigerator or microwave. The only chair was a foot off the ground and uncomfortable, the sink had no flat surface for toiletries, and it took 12 minutes for hot water in the shower. The road up Fire Mountain was a butt-jarring, car damaging experience. Since we don’t pay for spas or hike, we left after one night and went to a Hampton Inn. This is NOT a boutique (their term) resort.
