Nice villa in a peaceful location but...
The villa is in a very quiet location with great views and just like the photographs. However, we feel the following issues we encountered should be highlighted and may be useful for other guests:
1. Access – the villa is situated 2 kms up a perilous unlit single-track road with minimal crash barriers.
2. Water supply – this was erratic and it was almost impossible to get hot water in the kitchen sink. At 8:30pm on our 4th evening the water went off completely. We contacted the host and It transpired that the villa has its own water supply and this had run out. We were without running water for 15 hours, which was both inconvenient and annoying. We had to resort to getting buckets of water from the swimming pool to flush the toilet.
3 Using the toilet – on arrival we were informed that we should not flush toilet paper but dispose of it in a bin. We are not used to this and had we been aware before we made our booking, we would have opted for alternative accommodation.
4. Disposal of rubbish – this wasn’t mentioned to us by the host and we only discovered when reading the list of checkout instructions that we were expected to take all of our rubbish with us when we left and dispose of it in the municipal bins in the village. We found this irksome and believe that disposal of rubbish should be included within the cleaning and service charges.
