We did unexpected stop in Leipzig and could find this hotel true trip adviser. Friendly welcome, free parking space, and helpful staff . The rooms where very clean, also very clean bathroom with free toiletries . For such big hotel with many clients we had very good breakfast and lunch. If I have to stop in the neighborhood I would take this hotel again.
This is a good business trip hotel, everything you want is indoors. In direct vincinity there is nothing to do. Approx 3 kM from city centre. One thing is not good and that is the price per dog per night: 20 Euro's. We stayed 2 nights with 2 dogs. That is 80 Euro's. Expensive.
Booked this hotel after reading TripAdvisor for my road trip trough Germany. Called the hotel to tell them that I would check in late. A friendly and kind staff told me it was no problem, and also asked if I wanted to reserve a spot in their parking garage. I recommend everyone reserve spot, because I got told it often fills up. I was lucky getting upgraded to a bigger room, without any reason, which is very good policy from the hotel. The room was very clean, good beds and over all this was a perfect stay! I recommend this hotel!
Every thing was excellent. The staff were polite, friendly and ready to help guests.Rooms were clean with free toilettries and free shuttel to air port and city center and every where you want. The restaurant was very good.
Really polite employees, the hotel is really nice, the room was clean and quiet. Cleaning service was perfect. The breakfast consisted of plenty of choices and the dinner was good as well. It is a little bit far from the city center but it is definitely worth it.
Nice hotel. Stayed 2 nights. Comfy rooms and a good breakfast. Menu was a bit sparse for dinner, but the food was good. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is quite far from the centre but has a good connection with the tram to the central station (line 7, 20 min journey and trams every 10 minutes). The area that the hotel is actually situated in, the depressed outskirts of Leipzig, is not particularly attractive however.
It is pretty amazing, the weekend was HOT, the "Aircondition" was a disaster, and the "Ventilator" arrived at the room, as the only help against heat. The pleasant staff member explained that - unfortunately - the Convention Hotel has no A/C, it was never installed, and - subsequently - cannot cool the rooms. The "guys" in Düsseldorf, whoever that might be other than Herr Lindner himself, decided to fool their guests, and glue a FAKE A/C Thermostat onto the wall of the Bedroom. Holy Cookaratcha, that is a new one, in the Hospitality business. Please, Herr Lindner, get out of it, and leave Hotellerie to others, more apt and professional at it. The staff was pretty pleasant, if our very expensive "Sennheiser" headphone had not been stolen, purloigned and taken from the work-table, while we were OUT, downtown Leipzig to watch the European Cup game on TV. The breakfast was much too expensive for the stuff offered.
Good hotel outsider the center, very clean and spacious room. Great breakfast, if not included it cost 17€ so be hungry. With tram ten minutes to center. Green areas not to far away for jogging or walking the dog. The hotel accept dogs. Parkinggarage for 12€.
The pros: The first impression is very welcoming. The hotel is near an attractive residential area, the grounds are lovely, the common areas and rooms are clean, modern, and attractive. The taxi from the main train station is a 10 minute ride. The tram to the central historic area is a 5 minute walk and the tram ride about 20 minutes. Tickets are available at the Reception area. (See below about Reception staff.) The rooms are furnished very well, with modern bathroom amenities, excellent lighting, and features important to business travelers, such as plenty of work space and outlets. There is an option to forego room cleaning and fresh towels in lieu of free access to the mini-bar. The cons: While the reception area was always staffed with plenty of personnel, every single individual either we or members of our group encountered appeared at best annoyed to be asked a question or openly rude and unpleasant. We are frequent and savvy travelers and this was one of the worst service experiences ever. Dining and breakfast options are very limited. One can access the undeniably wonderful breakfast buffet for 17 euros or simply purchase a cup of coffee. Food is not available from 10am till dinner, so members of our group who missed this window had a good 20 minute walk to the nearest alternative. We dined in the historic area so evenings were not an issue. A member of our party needed an ironing board and iron. The board was sent, without an iron. The housekeeping staff refused to believe there was no iron and 2 staffers came to search the room, including the guests' luggage, as they refused to believe the iron (which was never delivered) was missing. The booking rate, arranged as part of a group activity, was not honored across the board, until the planner was reached and, following lengthy calls, the billing issue was resolved. Our party include both fluent German speakers and English-only speakers. We discovered that reception staffers who were fluent in English at times pretended not to speak it. Tips: If you travel at a time when air conditioning would be needed, please note the hotel has only 5 rooms with A/C. To compensate, fans are available but must be requested from the aforementioned staff. Rooms that face the side or the back are cooler as they are shaded.
Stopped over for a night whilst travelling south on Autobahn. The rooms are nice, clean, big and comfortable. The hotel is not to expensive. Restaurant has a good knowledge of gluten- and lactosefree food and both in the evening and for breakfast choices are pretty extensive. Thumbs up for that!
