This is a Grade II listed property located in Saxmundham. It is above Vela Art Gallery and cafe bar, which has wood burners for the winter months and outside seating in the sheltered courtyard at the rear for the warmer summer months. The holiday apartment offers something for everyone who loves art, culture and a relaxing cosy environment to enjoy food and drink. The apartment is spacious and quirky. It has multiple levels, with exposed wooden beams, and 16th century features, yet still has a contemporary and homely feel.
The metal stairs go up to the front door and you step into the entrance hall where there is a rail to hang coats and a shoe rack. This leads into the well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge (with small freezer compartment), microwave, toaster, kettle and cafeteria. There is a table and chairs that seats 4 comfortably.
This leads through to the next "levels" and there is a door on your right which leads up to the twin bedroom with a skylight, and beyond this there are 2 steps down to the bathroom. The good-sized bathroom has a walk-in shower as well a full-size bath with shower attachment, W/C, sink with cabinet beneath and towel rail.
From here, another set of stairs lead to the next level, where, on the right is the living room, and on the left is the bedroom.
The living room has a 2 seater sofa and 2 armchairs where you can enjoy a chilled out evening watching TV, reading a book or having a glass of wine or 2 with fish and chips from across the road! The bedroom has a double bed, 2 bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The window looks out onto the high street.
Please note for security, the courtyard at the rear is covered by CCTV 24 hours a day.
It is the perfect base to explore the beautiful Suffolk coast and surrounding areas. Alternatively, if you just want to relax, it is the perfect location with all the restaurants and bars within walking distance, as well as Waitrose and Tesco just around the corner.
