We were disappointed with our stay, as the listing did not accurately reflect the property. The home is advertised as being right on the water, but access to the dock required approximately a half-mile walk. Additionally, the dock area was not maintained and had visible trash and broken seating.The cleanliness of the home was below expectations. There were mouse droppings in the cupboards, and basic supplies such as garbage bags, paper towels, and toilet paper were not provided, requiring us to purchase these ourselves. The refrigerator’s water and ice dispenser were not functional, and there was no alternative source of clean drinking water.The most significant issue was the lack of hot water. We stayed for five days and only had access to cold showers for the entire duration.There was also an uncomfortable interaction with a neighboring resident. During the daytime, children were playing in the shared outdoor area, and the neighbor responded by yelling aggressively and using an air horn. Later that evening, when we were quietly playing music on the porch, the same neighbor made verbal threats toward our group. We contacted the host regarding this situation but did not receive a response or assistance.Overall, this stay did not meet expectations in terms of accuracy, cleanliness, or host communication.
