This third floor apartment is a converted attic in a historic townhouse. It was perfect for our 3-night stay in Saumur. Free parking was easy nearby and there were great views of the River Loire from the windows. 5-10 min walk to castle, restaurants, tourist info. The accommodation had everything we needed - with an ingeniously compact kitchen. Modern shower, towels and hairdryer provided. You will need to manage a lot of stairs and be mindful of other residents if coming/going early or late at night. The only slight surprise was that it was one bedroom. The listing states ‘2 bedrooms, 2 queen beds.’ It is one bedroom with twin beds and a double sofa bed in the living area. You cannot access the kitchen / bathroom from the bedroom without going through the main living space - worth considering if you want children to sleep on the sofa bed.

Comfortable and centrally located apartment with great views of the Loire.

This apartment is within easy walking distance of the centre of Saumur and has free parking available just across the road. It is very well equipped, it was clean on arrival, the sofa and bed are comfortable and the location is quiet. Easy communication with our host was appreciated as was her flexibility about check-in and check-out. We stayed in winter and found the apartment snug and warm. The kitchen is quite small but perfectly adequate for holiday catering. Also the apartment is up 3 flights of stairs with no lift but as long as you can climb stairs, your effort is amply rewarded with a great view of the river. Would definitely recommend for a great stay.

Lovely apartment

Once you have mastered the 68 steps to the 3rd floor you enter a lovely apartment. The lounge/diner is spacious with beautiful views over the River. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and again beautiful views over the River. The kitchen is comparatively very small but has everything you need. This leads to the shower room/ toilet with a large shower cubicle and wash basin. All in all a lovely apartment that is only 3 minutes walk from a bustling square with many restaurants/bars to enjoy.

Location decorée avec goût et emplacement impeccable.

Le logement est très bien amenagé et decoré avec une superbe vue sur la Loire. L'emplacement est idéal proche du centre ville de Saumur. Il serait appréciable pour un court séjour d'avoir également les gels douche et savons fournis comme à l'hôtel. Mais le reste très bien organisé pour la remise des clés en respectant les gestes barrières. Je recommande vivement. Merci Sophie
