There was one swag light, poor lighting, no bedside lamp so the switch was by the front door. TV control did not work, TV was poor. Front end was typical of their upbringing , unfriendly and not helpful. The toilet was partially plugged, did not flush completely. There was no electrical plug to recharge phone, without moving furniture which some was broken. A damage deposit of 200 was ridiculous. It was quiet and clean.
This is a modest hotel, with much to be modest about. It is certainly low-priced, and the upkeep is proportional. In a three night stay, our rooms were not once "made up" by the house housekeeping staff, and litter and food containers were not removed from common hallways until I picked them up. That said, it is not charging like the Ritz-Carlton, it is not trying to be the Ritz-Carlton. Its front desk staff were absolutely Prairie - friendly ( a high standard) and did ultimately move us to a room that had seen upkeep. It is strongly recommended that you ask for an odd-numbered room, which will be on the side away from the considerable noise of the late night pub located directly below.
