We could’n sleep there because it was close when we arrive at 8 o’clock and 15 minutes so we had to search c another So we were very disappointed hotel .com should not recommend this hotel with the doors locked at 8 pm. We lost 115 canadien dollars

A real gem of a place.

Excellent place to stay especially if doing the Cinque Terre hike. Avoid the queues at La Spezia by exploring this quaint town. Easy stroll to train station. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Pleasant stopover

We had a few problems finding the place but once that was sorted we were pleased to see a clean and functional room. Al Borgo is within walking distance of a large supermarket.

Recently stayed five nights. Great little hotel, with a simple delicious breakfast included. Close to train station so easy to get to la Spezia and then onwards to cinque Terre. Clean rooms and very large, we stayed in room 1 and once air con was on and windows shut could not hear trains or outside. Our window backed onto neighbours garden with chooks, so nice to hear in the morning, peaceful. Loved the town of Sarzana, great market on a Thursday, it's huge. It's a great town to stay in as away from the maddening crowds of la Spezia and cruise ships. Ten minute walk to station and same to lidl and main town shops. Wifi worked well. As with lots of Europe hotels, no jug for coffee. My only negative was that a tea towel could be supplied to wipe up dishes in kitchen area and a hanging rack in shower to put soap and shampoo on as annoying to bend down to get shampoo off shower floor. Looks dime good easy parking if you are driving. Look for the large chimney stack as that is the hotel. Easy to find on google maps. No English TV only Italian.

Charming Find!

Nestled near the train station surrounded by mountains and greenery, this was a fabulous find for exploring Italy! The room is huge and extremely clean, breakfast is delightful, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. So happy I stayed away from the hustle of bustling cities as this hotel offered just the right ambiance and feel I was looking for. Sarzana is a Lovely Quaint Town you don't want to miss,,, Can hardly wait to return!

Great position to walk to centre

Not too easy to find. Could do with better signposting. Very good value for money, good comfort and varied breakfast. Only downside is near to the station so there was some train noise. Didn't hear anything between 10.30 and 6 am. Great position- only 5 mins walk to the old part of town. We had a very good dinner at Le Tre Archi restaurant.

A very nice value hotel

Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful (especially Filippo). Breakfast was great - a mix of sweet & salty available every morning. Wifi worked on and off due to a great number of people using smartphones and tablets (reason given by hotel). Overall a great value hotel for a short stay! The Cinqueterre are easily accessible by train from this hotel.

Big savings without loss of quality

This was a simple hotel - bed & breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything worked as it should. The sunny terrace in front was great! We also really liked the ample breakfast. The only thing that was a little difficult was finding this hotel with our balky or dysfunctional GPS. Even our local friend had some difficulty locating the street.
