The renovations that have been done are to support the travelers that are they to snowmobilie, hunt, fish etc. They are basic. Clean beds, clean bathrooms, but not much else. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. These fit my needs well because we don't spend much time in the hotel itself. For the price, I think it is a good deal.

I was texted a room number and combination. When I tried the combination on the door, it didn’t work. After a phone call in which I was passed around several times, a hotel employee informed me in person that I did not have a reservation for that room, and made me feel I had needlessly disturbed the person in that room. When I showed her the text, she gave me a different room (same combination, so it was probably screwed up in the text). But there was no apology - “sorry for the mixup” would have sufficed. Instead, I was left to feel like someone who had created a problem that she had (grudgingly) solved.

I really enjoyed my stay. I'm not too picky, but it is unusual for a motel to excel in all aspects that i find important: good lighting that is easy to access, large bathroom with lots of hot water, comfortable bed, good room temperature, a fridge AND a microwave, clean and quiet surroundings and a friendly motel cat. The lady working the desk was genuine and fun, and the room rate was the best in town. This was an unexpectantly much above average experience that I would highly recommend to others.

This was my first stay since the motel since it was renovated. Checking in and out now occurs solely via mobile device and is quite slick, reminiscent of modern air bnbs. I was very impressed by the newer/upgraded amenities, especially in the bathroom and bedroom. The price is right for a basic, yet functional and quality getaway stay, close to the hot springs. The basic room does have a microwave and mini fridge and I wish I knew that before arriving. Would highly recommend for a short stay.

The room was clean. The property is a little run down. The staff is non existent, I arrived at 8pm on a Saturday, I am mostly blind and couldn’t figure out how to open the door to the room. No one would answer the phone, the sign on the door at the office said to ring the doorbell and we did about 30 times and no one ever came to help. Will not be staying here again.
