We had a great time at Casa Del Mar! Great location- right on the beach. It was nice to have a private beach to enjoy, as the public beaches get very crowded! Staff was very accommodating and check in and out was very efficient. We would definitely stay there again!
Only thing I didn’t care for was I was encouraged to pay $20 a day for an umbrella my entire stay. Little did I know it was non-refundable if it was slightly breezy(they do have a sign posted of non refundable due to weather, however I was thinking thunderstorms or hurricanes as weather and not breezy). So 2 of my 4 days they didn’t put up umbrellas so I was out $40, plus I had to run down to the local Publix to purchase my own $12 umbrella(which managed just fine). Next time if I were to return, I would pay for an umbrella day by day and not in a lump some at beginning of the stay. Really feel they should of refunded my money. Other than that though the place was beautiful and clean.

Very nice property and immaculate. Just steps to the beach on this beachfront property. Seems to have been recently updated and very tastefully done. Bring your own paper goods, even if you are just staying for a week.

We had a lovely 2 bedroom Condo on the 2nd floor with a screened porch. The resort is on the Gulf with a heated pool, tennis courts and many grills for cooking out. Our condo was spotless with nice furnishings, comfy beds and a washer/dryer in the unit. Resort provides beach towels which was appreciated. You can rent beach umbrellas which they will have set up for you with chairs. Beautiful beach to walk on and enjoy the sunsets. A very nice resort for the price as Longboat Key can be expensive. Would definitely recommend!

I was glad to see that you found our property to be beautiful and clean, and I can really understand your frustration about the umbrella experience. I spoke to our manager about this and he agrees that a refund seems right in the case of those two days last week when umbrella installation was called off due to winds ranging above 18 miles an hour. We are trying to work out better ways to manage the logistics of umbrella payment and to protect our guests from both too much sun exposure and injuries from flying umbrellas. In the meantime, could you get back to me through the message center so that we can arrange a refund?
