Rooms are very comfortable, polite staff, but above all breakfast is fantastic.there is no alcoholic drinks in hotel. It is situated near Miljacka river. and only 5 km from downtown. I'm sure everyone will be satisfied
The hotel itself is quite new with narrow but comfortable rooms. There is also a nice, reasonably priced restaurant offering traditional food. I've used the Wellness and Spa center and have enjoyed it tremendously after a long day out in the cold. On the other side the service was more than poor. Upon arrival I was asked for a security deposit and my ID was taken as well. After the check out was completed I did not get my ID back only to realize this once I got to the border crossing. When I called the hotel not only did they not offer to help solve the issue but they sounded like they could not care less. I was offered to be sent the ID via regular mail!!!! Since this was not an option and I was not planning on returning to Bosnia I asked a friend to pick it up for me. She's been at the hotel numerous times and was sent back with the statement that the hotel does not have my ID!!! It took me and my friend endless phone calls and visits to get my document back. Never be staying with them again.
We stayed for 1 night as part of our Insight Tour of the Balkans. The hotel had tea and coffee making facilities(deluxe room only)and a really nice modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. The hotel staff were excellent - helping me with my wi-fi connection which once connected was excellent. This is a Muslim hotel so no bacon for breakfast and no alchol .Alchol can be purchased across the road in the supermarket as can food items, we bought bread and cheese to make ourselves a low cost lunch
This hotel is quiet,a little out of town but has a charm about it. WIFI is good and hotel is spotless and surrounded by supermarket, bank and other necessities for the traveller.Surprisingly, the Hotel has no licence for alcohol. It does have a galateria where you can buy very good traditional sweets ie Turkish Delight.Breakfast is adequate and on the 13th floor.
I am sure that all travellers have, at some time, experienced a small issue about a hotel which nags you and you feel is not right. This minor issue at the Bristol was that my friends sharing a room found tea and coffee facilities provided, whereas in a single room, I was not offered this facility. Following a beautifully prepared meal in the restaurant, with attentive and considerate table service, I enquired about the tea/coffee situation with my waiter. He made a phone call and then accompanied me to the front desk to resolve the situation. My waiter personally brought the makings to my room and front desk professionally found a solution to my little issue . These courteous initiatives can turn a problem upside down. Could I gently suggest that, as the Bristol transfers to the NOVOTEL chain, fairness and a degree of equity is seen as a high priority.
We stayed two nights at this hotel and were genuinely sorry when we had to move on. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was large with both bath and separate shower. Tea and coffee facilities were provided in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but people who did said it was very good. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and was served on the roof terrace which affords great views of the city. Alcohol is not available here but this is not really a problem as the local shop stocks a wide variety of drink. If ever we visit Sarajevo again, we will definitely stay at Hotel Bristol.
Really good combination of price / quality. Travel few times a year to Sarajevo for 4 years in a row, tried different hotels, this one is my choice: clean, very good breakfast, nice view (in summer breakfast is on the Terrasse with a great view, pictures attached), friendly staff, good swimming pool and sauna / steam room, which relaxes after working day. Only note for tourists: people liking glass of wine or any other alcohol during dinner - not the place as there is no alcohol in the hotel at all, but there are plenty of good restaurants for this, so should not be an issue.
Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on Conference. Rooms were of a good size and comfortable. Also well kept with good A/C. Public areas look a little tired. Breakfast provides a good choice of international and local options. Cafe is nice with some lovely looking desserts on display. Two important things....this hotel is dry (no alcohol) which is why this place is NOT a good place for a conference where many a deal is struck over a beer or a glass of wine. Secondly..the hotel allows for smoking indoors. Perhaps not restricted by B&H law but something I personally object to. Nevertheless, my stay was comfortable and pleasant. Staff in particular, were very friendly.
The hotel was very nice, but the foyer did not match the room. The reception area was very modern , while the room though very clean was tired and smaller than expected. Would stay here again though. The coffee shop was excellent and the restaurant was superb.
I stayed at this hotel for leisure. Check in was superb And the staff extremely welcoming. The hotel is modern and extremely welcoming. The hotel has secure under ground parking. The rooms are large and clean. All the furniture and fittings new. The wifi is great and free. This hotel is only a four star but quite frankly delivers five star luxury at a great price. The hotel is a cab ride from down town but cabs are very cheap. The rooms are very quiet and so comfortable. Be warned this hotel does not serve alcohol so don't come back for a night cap. Nonetheless, a great hotel and l would recommend this!
