We have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights this week and we had such a wonderful experience - Thank you to the wonderful hotel staff :) There isn’t much I can moan about this hotel! Location - you can’t get any closer to the sanctuary of Fatima and the plaza, this hotel is literally next to them! We went to the 9:30pm Rosary service and finished just after 10pm, within 10 mins walk we were back in the hotel room! If you are travelling to Fatima from Lisbon by bus like we did, it’s only 12-15mins Walk to the hotel from bus station. Opposite to the bus station , there are plenty of restaurants, a supermarket , pharmacies and lots of souvenir shops. If you have not hired a car, you can take the hop-on hop-off mini train (€5 per person per day), it goes round to all the main sightseeing places in Fatima which is brilliant! It started off at the bus station , the north of sanctuary of Fatima , then to the south of the sanctuary (where we got on), followed by the house of Lucia, the house of Francisco & Jacinta and the Valinhos, then to the Parish church of Fatima. It then take you back to the bus station and carries on..... The closest mini train station from the hotel is South of Sanctuary of Fatima, which is 2 mins up the road. In summer time it comes every 20-30 mins but only every hourly in winter time and operates 9am-6pm. Customer service - Excellent!! We arrived early (12noon , check-in time is supposedly 2pm), and we were lucky enough to be able to check in straight away! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and sincere, she went an extra mile to find out so much information about sightseeing for us on the phone. She was very efficient and professional. In fact , all the staff who work for this hotel are very nice and professional! Hotel restaurant - Nice breakfast with plenty of choices. Selection of tea or coffee/espresso/cappuccino/hot chocolate. €15 per person for lunch or dinner buffet. We tried the dinner buffet on the first night, it was ok not quite worth €15 though. We went to the supermarket (12-15 mins walk) and got ourselves some hot food from the deli counter, as well as some salad , a bottle of wine and some water and cost just over €11. Not bad for a casual dinner! Hotel room & Wifi - Lovely room, clean bedding & comfy bed, with window facing the plaza. Good working air conditioning and decent shower! They have a small but powerful hair dryer - I always take my own hair dryer with me anywhere I go cos I have very long, thick hair and I don’t have all night to dry my hair! I was very impressed by their hair dryer, and I just wanted to mention that to people who worried about the same thing as I do! Most of the hotel hair dryers suck, but not this one!! WiFi was good in general, but there was a group of 20+ tourists arrived at the hotel last night and the WiFi was slow which was understandable. Shopping (for souvenirs) -there are a lot of shops around the hotel, my advice is, go to the smaller and not-as-nice-looking shops, they all sell pretty much the same products but you can get better deals there. If you are deciding where to stay in Fatima, look no further , you can’t go wrong with this hotel! I would highly recommended this hotel to all my friends who are coming to Fatima. Thank you to everyone working at the hotel again for making it such a pleasant experience!!
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel with a group of friends. I would highly recommend it to any one wanting to visit Fatima and the surrounding area. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect; you could not get any closer to the churches and the plaza. Staff was very helpful and the buffet dinner was bountiful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The shops were around the corner and the outdoor cafes provided good food and beverages. Best place to stay!!!
Hotel was well situated to the bus stop and the shrine. The rooms were clean and tidy. The bathrooms were excellent. I wish the television had more to offer but you are not there to watch TV but to spiritually recharge oneself. The front desk was helpful and delightful. The place is wonderful.
Being right next to the sanctuary, it's a great location if you plan to be in the sanctuary all day so that you could always go to your room to freshen up. The breakfast was also good, enough variety to fuel yourself in the morning for activities in the sanctuary. Although the wifi was sometimes weak in our room (probably because it was in the back of the building), it was strong in the lobby, restaurant, and even a few feet outside the hotel so that you could upload pictures for social media if you don't want to use your data.
Our tour group came here for the 100th Anniversary of Fátima and had a great experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating in many ways. We had a fresh, delicious buffet for breakfast and dinner. Best part was the location right across the street from the basilica!
This is a modest and well run hotel practically across the street from the basilicas and chapel. The rooms are comfortable. There is air-conditioning. The service is friendly. There is no pool or fitness room but there is wi-fi and the breakfast is very good.
This hotel is a few minutes walk to the Chapel of the Apparition and other sites, near souvenir shops and the food is good! The buffet offering is a great deal at Euro 12, plenty of choices. They also have a souvenir shop where guests can get 10% discount. The room is nice - clean, comfortable. Staff - friendly and helpful.
Clean, comfortably sized modern room with welcoming staff. Location is no less than perfect for visiting the religious sites. Our room (303 I think) actually had a view of the cathedral. Breakfast was decent. Convienient parking. Price not bad - 115 euros.
I sent my parents to Fatima as it is the centenary of the Sanctuary and it was a very easy place to find. Walking distance from the bus station and the sanctuary. The staff was really friendly and spoke Portuguese, Spanish and English. The breakfast was very good as well. The only advice is book directly with the to make things easier, using trip advisor, makes you go through an extra third party and the booking is not really to manage. I had to book twice, once on trip advisor (was lost) and one directly with the hotel and that was perfect!
