Great hotel with incredible location. The facilities were renovated recently and the rooms are spacious and confortable. The beds are very good and also the pillows. Althought it's near the main street, the rooms are quiet and confortable. Inside the room you have a big table, a chair and lots of power outlets to charge all your devices, such as computer, mobilie, tablets, etc. The breakfast was a bit boring with not much variety.

This hotel is in the perfect location should you want to visit Fatima. Parking was good, the rooms were clean, great bathroom and shower and very nice breakfast. Many shops and restaurants are located just down the street. If you happen to have one of those cravings for a McDonalds, (heaven forbid) there is one just behind the hotel. We were able to get rock star parking in the first spot just outside the reception hall. This almost never happens. You can leave your car and walk to the shrine or anywhere else for that matter.

My husband and I went to Fatima for a religious conference. We wanted a hotel that was convenient, comfortable and clean. The Dom Goncalo, easily met these conditions. The room was a bit small, but our stop was part of an extended trip so we had two large suitcases to deal with. The best thing was that there was an air conditioning unit in the room and we could control the temperature. Another great feature is there restaurant. When we were visiting there were not a lot of options close to the shrine and we usually try to avoid the hotel restaurant. We ended up eating there every night. Yes, it was that good. The breakfast buffet also offers many options.

We had spent 3 nights at the Dom Goncalo hotel for our centenary pilgrim to Fatima this time. The hotel is situated at the quiet side of town and is about 10 minutes' leisure walk to/from the sanctuary. We had a family room (just the 2 of us) which could accommodate up to 4 people. The room is very spacious and clean and breakfast was more than sufficient. The hotel has a nice restaurant with a good menu. Unfortunately we did not have a chance to visit the spa during our stay there. A good tip for future visitor to the Dom Goncalo hotel, if you are arriving by bus and when you get off the bus at the bus station, make sure you turn left of the main road which will be only about 5 minutes' walk to the hotel. We had made a mistake of turning to the wrong side and ended up walking for about 20 minutes with our luggage before finally finding the hotel. I will definitely return to this hotel again on our next Fatima visit.

Lovely stay for a relaxing getaway. Spa, massage service, nice pool available in this Hotel in the quiet city of Fatima. Is also located nearby Fatima Basilic, a 15 minutes walk from there. The room was so clean, bilingual staff attendance, interesting city view from the rooms and good food at the buffet breakfast. I would definitely come back when in that peaceful town.

This hotel is fine for a short stay but it generally lacks that all important warm and welcoming atmosphere that you expect from a good hotel. My family and I stayed at the hotel for over a week. It is a 10 minute walk from the Sanctuary (15 mins if you are a slow walker). The hotel is well maintained and clean but I would not recommend it for more than a short stay. We found dining in the restaurant a rather uncomfortable experience. We had breakfast there every morning as it was included in our deal and we also had dinner on several occasions just for the sake of convenience. Whilst the food was very good, the Restaurant Manager had no front of house skills and made no effort to make us feel welcome. He appeared to be hard working but not once did he greet us with a "good morning" or "good evening" but instead would point at the table he wanted us to sit at, then return to take our food order and avoid any further communication for the remainder of our meal, not even a thank you and goodbye. For him it was all about behaving like an army sergeant running a military operation. There were two good waiters amongst the waiting staff namely David and Nelson who were helpful and friendly, just as you would expect. We had the pleasure of eating in some of the other hotel restaurants closer to the Sanctuary and the hotel staff, including the receptionists and waiters, were warm and welcoming and we wished we were staying in those hotels instead. A smile and good manners cost nothing and go a very long way to making a good impression on guests and making their stay more enjoyable.

I went to Fatima for personal reasons and stayed at this hotel because it seemed to be of high quality and was not expensive during my time frame. It is not a very far walk, maybe 7 minutes, from the Churches and maybe a five minute walk from a supermarket. I was on foot, having arrived from Lisbon by bus. The bus station was about a 10 - 15 minute walk away. There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of hotels in Fatima. And there apparently are time frames when Fatima is extremely crowded and booked up. But I was very satisfied with the quality and the price of this hotel. I only ate the breakfast there in the mornings and it was satisfactory. I would stay there again.

My husband and I have just recently stayed at this hotel for one night driving from Quateria. It was very central for the purpose of our trip. The staff where very friendly and the room had all the requirements fridge, hairdryer, bath and shower (over the bath); shower gels etc. We had access to the spa facilities for two hours on the day of check in and two hours on the day of departure - we didn't use them so unable to comment - the robes and footwear were in the room - a swimming cap is required when using the pool. After a busy day we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant - we weren't disappointed - the food and wine were exceptional and the service was very professional but staff were very relaxed. The whole ambiance was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend the restaurant for great food and wine and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend the hotel also which was very good value and very central.

We stayed there one night. Our room was very clean, quiet, people are friendly and professional the spa was maybe a bit crowded at the hour we went but everything is so well organized and simple. Plus best continental breakfast during our stay in Portugal Merci du Québec

This is the first time I am writing a review for this fabulous hotel just at 10 minutes walking distance from the Sanctuary of Fatima. I have stayed in this hotel 5 times in the past 6 years and every time I have been satisfied with the service, value for money and specially the spa. A very cosy hotel recommended for couples and families.
