Spent 4 days at his hotel for a Fatima Pilgrimage. Excellent location for access to the Apparition Chapel, Sanctuary and the Museum. The hotel is just a short level walk to these attractions. The hotel itself is comfortable, well managed and the food is of a good standard. Staff are very helpful and speak good English. There is a very good souvenir shop attached to the hotel which did offer hotel resident discount. Would stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.
Great Hotel in fabulous location Reception staff so helpful and friendly assisting with every need. Rooms very comfortable, clean and spacious. Nice coffee shop in the lobby as well as restaurant serving breakfast. We also paid to have evening meals here some evenings, as it was a set menu with a bottle of wine, very reasonable. Very pleasant stay and great service offered by all the staff.
We stayed at this hotel with a group of people while traveling for a pilgrimage. Our room was very nice with 2 single beds although it was a bit small. You could tell this was an older hotel by the cracks in the walls. Breakfast was included for our group and it was very good with an assortment of meats, rolls, eggs, etc. Location was very close to Fatima.
it would have been a wonderful hotel for us, except that the air conditioning was terrible. in the three nights that we stayed in the hotel, it kept turning off in the middle of the night, or even during the day, therefore, we had to keep on calling the front desk to ask for it to be turned on again and again. some other people included in our pilgrimage group experienced the same in their rooms. when we complained about it, they said that they had already reported it to their maintenance people. i don't think anything was ever done about it. the location from the church was great though, including the food for their breakfast and dinner buffet.
Once again we have stayed at this wonderful Hotel. We visit this superb Hotel every year, as its our favourite. The lovely smiling staff, the Hotel Management, the abundant of glorious meals, no complaints whatsoever. Even the cleaning staff, always with a smile. The spacious rooms, so very clean. Spotless. This Hotel is in the best and prominent place. I am lost for words to relate how good it is. My family and I says a big thank you to every body at the Hotel Cinquentenario. This year was the Centenary year of our Lady of Fatima. Every Hotel was full, and it is a sight to see people visiting the shrine. We will be going next year 2018 to enjoy our favourite Hotel, and being with our friends. This Hotel is highly recommended by me and friends. Radford.C
With a group from Liverpool. This hotel was very good, staff all very friendly, rooms clean with no problems reported. The restaurant area accommodated large groups and was well organised. The bar area was very cosy with good service. All in all a very good hotel, very well located for access to the shrine.
Excellent hotel. Clean rooms, outstanding breakfast, within walking distance to the church and close to restaurants. Price very reasonable. Great value! You won't be disappointed. Hotel staff very helpful and language no problem.
very close to basilica which was quite good for those in wheelchairs , air condition in every room . staff could do with smiling bit more but where very efficient and most spoke good English . lifts quite small .
For a 4 star hotel you expect much more. Breakfast was not abundant, carpet not clean, wi-fi always disconnecting. Ive had better stay at a 3 star hotel than this hotel. Granted you are at Fatima on some sort of a pilgrimage but you cant compromise the quality of the hotel whatever the situation is.
We stayed in this hotel while on pilgrimage last year. Previous experiences prooved to be more than challenging. Despite having made it clear that we had a strict diet, the hotel did not accommodate us in these requirements. Even though we had made several simple requests(provision of bananas, nectarines and honey), we were informed that they could not get any. Strange, given that we sourced these foods in a local shop at little cost. There were numerous other occasions when there was drama over melon being offered as a main meal. Having said that, last year, they appeared to have done a u-turn, regarding their willingness to accommodate other diets. The food offered to us was delightful. Such a welcome change and turn around. However, having spoken with a friend who is staying there currently, they appear to have reversed to type. Such a pity. The location is very central, however when you pay for full board, you do expect, to get at the very least, a reasonable standard of food and a willingness to accommodate specific diets.
