Sa Serra Mitjana, Villa, old farmhouse. Set in the heart of the south/east Mallorcan countryside just outside the quiet village of Calonge' (which has two great restaurants), yet only two miles from the beaches and nightlife of Cala d'Or. Here you will find a haven of peace and tranquillity. Five bedrooms with five ensuite bathrooms,6 with the Apartment which is included. Private swimming pool, magnificent gardens set in 5 acres of private estate. Sweep through the electric gates and up the drive to "Se Serra Mitjana", a lovingly restored, vine covered finca, a 200 year old manor house extensively modernised for todays discriminating traveller. Enter through the old oak rustic double front doors into the large lounge which opens up onto the gardens. TV, DVD, satellite TV are provided, a stereo CD is piped thru the downstairs rooms. The outside dining patio is covered/shaded with a grape vine which hangs heavy with fruit in the summer months. In the grounds you will discover almond and lemond groves, pepper and bay leaf trees and a dovecote. We have WiFi, central heating and air conditioning in most rooms. We also have our own well, meaning plenty of water when Mallorca is in a drought.
We are just minutes away from the village with it's farmers bars, the bakery, boutique shops and nice restaurants. A big supermarket is on the corner as you enter Cala d'Or. This South East side of Mallorca abounds in lovely coves and beaches. It is the prettiest part of a beautiful island. The island roads have all been upgraded and are wonderful for driving or cycling on. Please note the lovingly restored brick walls along the roads and fields which have all been hand built by the farmers or craftsmen. Each stone hand laid, very labour intensive. All our bedrooms have their own bathrooms. We have 5 bedrooms in the Main House and a separate apartment adjoining the house which has it’s own front patio and entrance. This can open up to the Terrace and BBQ area and gardens. It has a Living Room with kitchen included. This room has two settees, tv and dining table. There are chairs outside on the Patio. The bedroom is air conditioned and has a double bed with bedside wall lamps, hanging locker and a large chest of drawers. A nice shower and wc adjoins the room.
Cala d’Or Marina is at the bottom of our lane, about a mile away. Wonderful restaurants encircle the harbour along with nice bars and the Yacht Club. You do not have to be a Member to go in for a drink on the Terrace or enjoy lunch or dinner there. Restaurant Botavara is highly recommended for Sea Food and Mallorcan meat dishes of lamb shoulder or roast suckling pig.
One of the best restaurants this side of the island, is right in our local village of Calonge called Bona Taula (Good Table). It is just up our lane, across from the church, the doorway next to Bar Telefono. Unpretentious, you go through the bar and out into the garden of Tomeu’s mother’s old house for a wonderful dinner, cooked by local ladies or Javier on the wood burning grill. Roast half duck, peppered and served with pear and baked potatoes and a grilled tomato is my favorite. Suckling Pig is the best as is Duck Breast or Half Rabbit from the Grill.

A Smart TV comes with satellite channels and a DVD player, and guests can stay connected with free WiFi. The bathroom offers hair dryers and bidets.
