The room was modern and clean and the bed comfortable. The biggest attraction was the location - the ocean view was splendid (room with a sea-side view). The breakfast could be nicer and the coffee stronger, but nevertheless I strongly reccommend this hotel.
Stayed at hotel in sea facing room ,air con did not work that well this is the only criticism I can give as hotel opposit beach and had all fertility s as said in there brochure I would say some of the rooms are a bit dated however it looks like rooms are being refurbished and the staff helpful we would stay again
The hotel was clean and tidy, we had a magnificent oceanfront room, from the balcony you could see across the street a great, fine sandy beach. The garage was adjacent to the entrance of the hotel and the city center could be walked.
Good experience overall (and excellent Spanish breakfast). We were not helped by the front desk staff when struggling to carry our numerous suitcases and 2 golf bags, which was not very cordial. The view from the room was very Nice despite we had no balcony (as shown in the site when we booked)
If you stay at a four stars hotel, you know what to expect... unfortunately, this hotel is not! Still, the staff is friendly and breakfast is good. The view is also amazing! The rooms are pretty old and the AC does not work properly. As said it is a nice hotel but do not expect a four stars one!
We stayed in central Santander for the first 2 days and then moved to the Silken Rio . It was one of our best ideas. The hotel was spotless and the view from our room beautiful. We can recommend the restaurant although we only ate there once as the set menu did not vary.
the staff was friendly and helpful . Also very nice view of the beach and free parking. The location was also good and in the whole it was a very good value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel if you visit Santander
great location for the beach. very friendly staff. bedroom had a sea view. breakfast is continental but there was hot bacon and eggs. local bus stops close by every bus except the number 5 took you into the city.
Lovely location but nasty bathroom with mould and a broken and cracked sink. Oh yes, and there is one iron for 89 rooms. Receptionist just shrugged shoulders when I suggested he bought more. I am sure there are nicer hotels in what looks like a lovely town. Look at my photos
+ The location is excellent and the view from the room on the Atlantic Ocean gorgeous. The beds are comfortable (the head pillows not so much, a little hard), the windows well insulated, so that restful and undisturbed sleep is guaranteed. Also positive to mention is the room cleaning. Wi-fi works perfectly, even a bit outside. -------- - This accommodation certainly does not match four stars. This is an presumption which may be designated as a wishful thought. An imposition is the bathroom (see photos) the mold in the area of the bathtub is omnipresent, the enamel layer at the drain is peeled off and rust is visible. The ventilation grilles are also rusty and in the room of my mother-in-law must probably have a fire took place, the traces are still clearly obvious. The friendliness at the front desk can be described as distant. We have the impression that the non-Spanish speaking guests are given just as much attention as is needed, which is perhaps only to speak at the inhibition threshold English. (This language barrier is not unusual in Spain ...) I do not want to generalize the employees at the desk, but the average impression is as described. My conclusion: For me no 4 * hotel, especially the condition of the bathroom is completely unacceptable. A serious suggestion: If you plan to stay here, do not forget to bring mildew spray ... ----------- -
