This place is a very cool hotel that has vintage style and charm. The Rooms are cabins with big patios, hammocks, chairs and table. The room we had was very large with two queen beds and a twin. A family with 2 or 3 kids could be quite comfortable, steps to beach, plenty of space. It offers the best of vacation home rental and hotel stay at a very reasonable price. We booked same day thru Expedia. The desk clerk said we were upgraded to a room farther from the road and parking lot. This means less noise and dust, and better security. Our room was old, but good. The style is classic local wood working craftsmanship. The closer to the beach the cabins are newer and more expensive. I loved keeping our surfboards in the room. I appreciate the safe and umbrella in the room. If I wanted a surf vacation with my wife and young kids, this would be a very reasonable and fun place to stay. The surf here can be small and gentle or quite big. It was off the charts huge while we were there. Use caution and stay safe!
Good service, great food!! We loved it. Stopped for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife and son and we all had the best time. The front desk was attentive, they allowed us to use the pool (and even provided us with a towel, very thoughtful). The guys at the restaurant are courteous and just overall nice, the food was amazing (best shrimp I've ever had). We are locals and this will definitely be our main spot for future special occasions! Thank you for a great experience.
We really enjoyed our stay in one of Tropico Latino's beach front rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was cozy and clean, and the location could not be beat. We could wake up in the morning, make a cup of wonderful Costa Rican coffee and step off our front patio onto the beach. Perfectly situated close enough to town that you can walk to many restaurants and cafe's, but far enough away that it was very quiet and private. Make sure to have dinner at their restaurant during your stay, as the food is amazing, and very reasonably priced for the quality you receive.
Me and my friends decided not to drive and fly instead, it turn out to be the best way to enjoy the area. Easy to move around, many good places to eat, good stores, easy living all around. The hotel is very cozy, inmerse in the tropical forest and a short walk will take you to the beach and the hammocks, there´s nothing better, trust me. The scenary is just breathtaking and makes you choose to stare or to explore. Once you´re ready for dinner, the food is excellent, the staff is great and a good dessert will get you ready to sleep. If you have questions, at the front desk, they will give all the advice and directions needed, if not, Wi-Fi will do it for you. Over all, a great great place to stay.
We loved this place and the staff. Resteraunt is excellent and staff is awesome. Really cool how they try and support local youth. Obviously the training is excellent and the people employed are benefiting from it. Awesome place to stay if you can afford it.
This is the 2nd time our family stays here. Tropic Latino is definitely the best place to stay in Santa Teresa. Our room was perfectly equipped with a kitchen, bedroom etc... great for our family. Also, I had one of the best massages ever. As always, the staff is impeccable, especially Evelyn who is always willing to assist with a smile.
My fourteen year old daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful beginner's yoga experience here. Very patient instructor. Gorgeous simple location with waves pounding in the background. Good value for the money (we bought a four class punch card).
The hotel environment, beach & scenery were beautiful! The accommodations, staff, hospitality, spa treatments & food were excellent! The manager Roberto went above and beyond to make sure our my family (with 2 children) had an amazing experience! Pura Vida! 🇨🇷🌴🌊❤️
Hotel Trópico Latino was the perfect beach getaway. The beach is very tranquil without a lot of people. The yoga, surf lessons and spa services really made it nice! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I definitely want to come back!
I spent 7 nights at the Hotel Tropico Latino in July. It was AMAZING. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. Kevin at reception is so kind and always made sure I had what I needed for my stay. Alex and Marcos at the hotel restaurant are courteous, friendly and fun! This was the best trip I've ever taken and would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone! The hotel is right near the small town, shops, dining, and activities. Hotel staff can point you in any direction you need- surf lessons, yoga, their spa is amazing and the views of the ocean are epic!
