We had 3 people staying in one room, making the room a bit small.. overall we had a nice stay! Although they can improve with providing kettle & cups for coffee / tea. We like the basement garage option for our car.

The fish at the evening meal was not cooked correctly. The waiter took it back to the chef who cooked it more but it was not cooked correctly in the first place. The waiter was very apologetic but the chef should have cooked another fresh piece of fish. We complained about the meal at checkout and that the breakfast was not ready until 07.45 when all should have been ready for 07.30. We left our mobile number but the management have taken no action. This is a huge disappointment to us. Last year our experience at this hotel was first rate. We drove 700 miles to this hotel in one day this year only to find that the standards had slipped. A great disappointment.

We had a wonderful time. We visited cousins in Peñaranda de Bacamonte. We also visited graves and houses in Macotera. The hotel was perfect location for that. The front desk helped us find locations. The room was clean and comfortable.

Decent Hotel on Outskirts of Town

The Sercotel Horus is an older, though not charming hotel that is able to host larger meetings and events. Located on the outskirts of Salamanca, it is a long walk along pleasant paths following the river into the city center, but a very easy metro bus ride. There is on-site parking, inside and out, as well as parking on streets a block or so behind the hotel. There are plenty of shopping venues nearby, including a mall next door. Reception desk personnel were friendly and competent. My room was adequately cleaned each day and breakfast was acceptable.

Easy access to Salamanca centre

There is a bus stop right outside the hotel to the centre of Salamanca but we walked it in about 20 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful but soundproofing between rooms was poor and the gym could do with some maintenance. A good hotel in a perfect position that, with some tlc, could be so much better.

I like this hotel. easy to find with parking and a good breakfast. Good English spoken on reception. Right next door to a Shopping Centre with lots of food choices and drinking choices too. Nice clean comfortable.

Good choice

Very nice hotel, friendly staff. A 20 min walk from the Cathedral and old city but Horus is a better choice for parking and a morning walk or a run along the river. Outdoor pool was great. Breakfast was comprehensive and large. We loved it. Great value considering the experience and the price.

We were there for one night only. Bus stop is conveniently located right across the road. A quick bus trip into the Old Town in the evening was wonderful. Our room had had a smoker in it so we went back to reception and we're given another room which must have been an upgrade because it was more of a honeymoon suite so we were very grateful for that. Underground parking only EUR 5 which makes for a nice change. Great stop over on a road trip

The location was superb with a bus stop right outside the hotel, bus service every 15 minutes and 1.40 euro cost for the journey; not worth the stress of driving into Salamanca and trying to find somewhere to park! The room was well equipped with lovely bathroom and bath and the bed was comfortable.The restaurant was lovely and the waiter was a delight! The food was delicious, of a high quality and very reasonably priced; 2 large Coquilles St Jacques, Monkfish and Langoustine brochette on a bed of potatoes,Chocolate trellis cup filled with Cheesecake mousse, topped with fruits of the forest and accompanied by a raspberry sorbet all washed down with a very acceptable bottle of red wine, a litre of water and a large coffee at a total cost of 19 euros! A much better quality than the tourist meals on offer in the town-the restaurant really should be patronised much more.
