Otherwise nice hotel: But management allows smoking (including cigars) in the dining area. I had a terrible disgusting experience at breakfast. A large group of guests were allowed to smoke, they even were provided with ashtrays!!

Not only have they redone and modernized the hotel; the service is above and beyond any other hotel. All rooms have a mix of tropical nature feel with the trees and pool around you, allowing you to relax while being in walking distance to the best restaurants in the city. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Los Tajibos the service is outstanding. Our servers were all excellent but Lucio and Marcos were exceptionally good . I forgot some personal belongings, which Rafaela in charge of our rooms took care to report to the reception. Efraín Carpio’s assistance so I could get my things was of great value to me as my things arrived much faster than expected. The operators (Dalila) assistance in transferring my calls was also outstanding. Thank you

The hotel is as beautiful as ever. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Staff always friendly and helpful, particularly Mijael and Kevin at the reception desk. We again enjoyed strolling around the gardens and seeing the resident peacocks and turtles. We stayed in one room for two nights, and another room the next two nights. Both had very small bathrooms with no room for our toiletries. Our room overlooking the pool had a beautiful view. The steps in front of the main entrance are a problem, even a risk, for older travelers like us. The steps are black, and in need of small lights or reflective strips. On this and a previous visit, we both tripped on the steps. We mentioned this in November 2018, but our suggestion was not taken into consideration. The pool area with its palm trees is lovely. However, we were surprised to see black mold between the tiles at the bottom of the pool. Also, the hot tub next to the pool is looking rather old. For the first two days of our stay, we chose the Paquete Gastronomico, a meal package. Never again. These deal only allows you to choose from a very limited menu: this left almost nothing appetizing for me, as a vegetarian.

We were a pretty big group of 20 people who stayed at the hotel. First of all, Los Tajibos is a great hotel with all the things you could ask for at a hotel. Nice pool and peacocks walking around in the garden. So it is really great, but there are some things that could be improved. First of all, the prices in the room bar is hilarious - like 4 bucks for a snickers! And you could also wish that a cappuccino is included in the breakfast buffet, but think again. And then there was the fact that we shared our stay with a princess, so the guards were on us all the time to stay away, to put on clothes (after a swim) and such. But then again - that the princess chooses this hotel says something, so I recommend it.

The older man in the front desk is extremely rude, made me feel as if he was doing me a favor to me staying there. His demeanor was awful. I will be working with Googlenand Linked in future business and I assure to upload many reviews to reflect this kind of treatment

Loved how spacious this property was in Santa Cruz. It was the perfect end to a 2 week trip. The restaurant is also delicious, the rooms spacious, and the pool gigantic! Highly recommend if you are staying in Santa Cruz.

Convention Center is the perfect place to planning a big summit The hotel facilities are very very good, nice swimming pool and restaurant & cafeteria just in front of the swimming pool, it is open and clear with a good menu. But regarding the area of the room, there is no elevator if you choose the second or third floors. The distance to the airport is no to long and the road is very good.

From the moment you step into their marvelous tall open room lobby you'll say to yourself "yup, its five star." It doesn't hurt that their front desk and concierge associates were all smiles and happy greetings as my wife and I walked in. We had a beautiful room, with again a huge open ceiling over looking the heated pool. Our king sized bed was amazingly comfortable and made it nice waking up to a breakfast buffet that starts early and goes until mid morning! Oh! Check out Piegari restaurant that's on their premises. Well worth visiting! Miguel took superb care of us, always making sure we had everything. Our food came out in a timely manner, but with a crispy, warm, doughy bread loaf to eat while you wait time will definitely go quick! I got a sirloin steak cooked under medium (and came out a hair under medium. 👌) with parmesan veggies, mashed potatoes. My wife had a (I believe spinach) linguine and shrimp alfredo which was delicious as well. Definitely one of my top three meals since living here.

Generally speaking, the hotel is pretty nice, clean and you can get everything you need in a good hotel. I wouldn't call it 5 stars though. we had a room right at the pool which was maybe not the best choice since extremely loud music is blasting every afternoon at the pool area which is extremely disturbing especially when the doors are open to get some fresh air. In addition, 2 rooms are connected through a door which makes it very easy hearing every noise your neighbour makes. The cleaning staff is very nice and cleanes properly. The food in the restaurant ranges from extremely good to quite bad. The breakfast is okay, a bit more variety would be nice especially if you stay for a longer period of time. Lunch buffet is extremely good! The menu needs to be arranged better since some meals are really not that great. The most prominent factor for a 5 star hotel would be the service, which is not that great at all. You can tell that the older staff has a lot of experience and is very nice and educated but some of the newer staff is very slow and not attentive at all! Some English knowledge would also be useful for this kind of hotel. The atmosphere of the eating area can also be improved especially the dirty paddings of the chairs.
