Die Wohnung ist hübsch eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Zimmer sind sauber und stilvoll dekoriert. Es gibt aber auch ein paar Nachteile, die man vorher wissen sollte. Im ganzen Haus wird viel gearbeitet und geschrien, auch spät abends noch. Die Nachbarn haben einen Hühnerstall und der Hahn kräht ab 5 Uhr morgens für mehrere Stunden. Ab nachmittags bellen für lange Zeit draußen die Hunde, weil dann die Katzen herumlaufen. Selbst mit Ohrstöpseln ist das Schlafen daher ein Problem, es gibt einfach keine Ruhe. Ab mittags scheint die Sonne auf den Balkon, aber aus Platzgründen stehen dort nur drei kleine Plastikstühle. Es gibt weder Sessel noch Liegen zum Sonnen, denn sie passen nicht hin. Eine Zimmerreinigung findet nicht statt, außer natürlich vor dem Einzug. Da Madeira ein starkes Gefälle zum Meer aufweist, ist bereits der 10-minütige Spaziergang zum Supermarkt eine schweißtreibende Angelegenheit, insbesondere der Rückweg. Es gibt keine Sandstrände auf Madeira, aber vor den Hotels ganz unten gibt es Badestellen mit Steinen. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung in Anbetracht der Lage und der Umgebung in meinen Augen zu teuer. Vermietet wird sie über eine Agentur, die sich aber nicht wirklich um die Gäste kümmert. Den Schlüssel erhält man aus dem Safe, das wars auch schon. Late Check-Out ging bei mir leider nur bis 11 Uhr.
