Overall ok. Don't expect to find something much better in Santa Cruz

One night stay, nice hotel, I stayed on a Royal Suite, big clean, located in the new building tower.

Hotel needs to urgently upgrade its internet service. Not good at all, very poor for business traveller needs.

This is a nice older hotel that needs remodeling. Older section good size rooms, but poor care, my room had a water leak on the roof. Internet service very poor. Front desk staff was helpful gave me a room in a newer section. Much smaller room but nice, internet did not work there either front desk staff helpful again puts a router in the room and it did help some. Wouldn't call it five star hotel.

The place was clean, comfort, and safe. The front desk was courteous, but not particularly welcoming. We did appreciated the welcome drink, even if it was a promotion for local alcohol. The breakfast had many choices, but the food was fair at best. Quality over quantity would be preferred.

We stayed 3 nights and the hotel was very nice, clean and comfy beds. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The handrails for entering and exiting the pool are poorly thought out----just a bit above the water level which makes it difficult for us older folks to enjoy the pool. Big NEW shopping mall just across a very busy street and a short walk away from the hotel.
