The views are beautiful. The front desk and Fernando from the bar were excellent very attentive. The property needs some touch up the only complain I have was the beds have storage bins above the beds my husband and I bumped are heads on that a few time. There isn't enough storage especially in the bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back.
I don't even know where to begin with this. First of all, it is now almost June (we "stayed" in February) and I am STILL battling with Orbitz and this hotel re: a refund after they said they would give us a FULL refund for the two nights we booked of which we only stayed one night. Yes, it was THAT bad. First of all, you should not access this hotel without AWD - it WILL damage a simple sedan due to the road surrounding the lake being unpaved, uneven and ridden with potholes. Also, do NOT arrive or plan on leaving after dark, said road is also not well lit if at all. Hope you brushed up on your Spanish because not ONE person there speaks English despite this hotel being one of the, if not the MOST, expensive hotels in El Salvador (ie: certainly not catering to the average Salvadoran). You would think they could have at least one person to speak a bit of English. I served as translator for several guests that were equally as frustrated. After you sort of get checked in and want to settled in and grab a bite you find out, there is NO FOOD on premises. If you want to order food for dinner (to be brought via motorcycle from a nearby restaurant) you must order before 6 PM or else go to bed hungry. They don't even have a full bar - a few local beers, soda and water bottles - that's IT. Crazy. Once we got checked in, we were given the wrong room with only one bed - we were told that everything else was booked. Will NEVER return and highly suggest you save your money too
