La Fenice is a 95-foot classic motor yacht drawn by the celebrated naval architect Laurent Giles, launched in 1962 as the British mothership for the America's Cup in Newport, Rhode Island. She went on to serve with the French Navy and was later owned by the renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh. Her interiors were reimagined by Christian Liaigre — among the most distinguished names in French design — in rich dark woods, leather, and understated architectural elegance that feels closer to a boutique hotel than anything you'd expect afloat.

She is now berthed in La Ràpita, a quiet fishing town at the edge of the Ebro Delta Natural Park in southern Catalonia — one of the last truly unspoilt stretches of the Mediterranean coast. Forget the crowds of Barcelona or the marina circuit of the Balearics. Here it is flamingos, wild rice paddies, pristine beaches, and some of the finest seafood in Spain, landed fresh each morning and on your plate by lunchtime.

La Fenice accommodates up to 9 guests in four private staterooms — three doubles and one twin — each with its own ensuite shower room and hair dryer. She is fully air-conditioned and heated, comfortable in any season. All linen and towels are included.

On the VRBO platform, La Fenice operates as a luxury bed and breakfast on the water. A freshly prepared breakfast is included each morning, made for you by the crew, who remain on board throughout your stay for your safety and comfort — happy to recommend restaurants, help with bookings, and arrange excursions. As with any B&B, other meals are not part of the booking, and the galley is a crew area rather than a guest kitchen. With some of the best seafood restaurants in Catalonia just steps from the marina, that is no hardship at all. For guests who would prefer to eat on board, we can arrange anything from a private chef to additional catering — just tell us what you have in mind.

You will be greeted on arrival with a Cava and nibbles reception hosted by the crew — a relaxed way to be introduced to the vessel alongside a short safety briefing. Guests staying more than one night enjoy a Cava reception each evening to set the tone for the night ahead.

Your booking includes the dockside stay aboard La Fenice with crew, breakfast, welcome and evening Cava receptions, and all linen and towels. Beyond that — a day cruising the Ebro Delta aboard La Fenice, an evening at anchor beneath the stars, additional catering, or anything else you can think of — get in touch and we will build something bespoke around your trip.

La Fenice is berthed in a working marina and we maintain a strict code of conduct that every guest must agree to before their booking is confirmed. It covers noise, behaviour, and respect for the vessel, crew, and marina. It is non-negotiable and our crew are empowered to enforce it. We will share the code of conduct with you in full before you commit, so there are no surprises — we simply ask that you read it carefully and understand that it applies for the duration of your stay. A refundable damage deposit is also required.
