Villa Starace - Romantic Apartment

Villa Starace is located just three kilometers from the beaches of Gallipoli, in a green oasis nestled in the typical Salento countryside.

Guests can enjoy the quiet of an enchanting setting, staying in refined, welcoming and modular apartments according to their needs.

The delightful garden guarantees moments and spaces of tranquility for a relaxing holiday.

The villa, witness of a great past, originally belonged to the Vetromile family of Gallipoli, from which it passed to the Starace in 1880 following a marriage between members of the two families.

Achille Starace, famous fascist hierarch, right arm of Benito Mussolini, made it a unique botanical park in the 1920s / 1930s with plants from the military campaigns in Africa.

The structure of the villa is C-shaped, as the long two-storey central body has been joined over time by two single-storey side wings, which also act as terraces.

A careful restoration by the owners has preserved all the characteristic and refined original architectural elements, combining the elegance of the structure with all the comforts and tools of modern hospitality.
The villa is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. The bathroom offers hair dryers and bidets. Housekeeping is available on request.

Villa Starace

We spent 4 nights at Villa Starace and had a wonderful trip. The room was beautiful and more than I could’ve expected. The owner and manager were incredibly helpful and even had someone pick us up last minute from the train station. The restaurant attached to the rooms was wonderful and incredibly convenient as we didn’t have a car. We easily traveled to the beach by train, and when at the villa we enjoyed the patio and garden which were lush and just so gorgeous. Overall we had an amazing stay, and plan to come back in the future!!
