I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, very typical Sevillian decorations and the staff was extremely friendly. The only thing that i am unhappy about is the restaurant. I already knew that the food here was supposed to be bad because i read previous reviews, but decided to try it out anyway and judge it myself. TERRIBLE IDEA. Honestly, i ordered two dishes that i knew i liked as i had tried them various times before but i barely could eat half of each plate because it was that bad. I am a student and normally don't have high standards for food and don't mind if its not perfect, but this? It was the worst food i have had, better go somewhere local. This is the only reason why it doesn't deserve 5 stars, the rest of my experience was really good nevertheless!
We had a 1 night stop at this hotel & booked a family room(2 adults & a 10 yr old) only to be put in a double room with an extra bed. We arrived at 23:15 & was told that the restaurant had closed but we could get snack food from the bar, only to be told by the head barman that there was no more food! We asked if we could get room service but again we're told NO. The room was noisy with constant dog barking into the early hours. The sink in the bathroom was filthy (see pics) I would suggest you look elsewhere as this doesn't warrant 1 star let alone 4.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights. Comfortable beds and nice large rooms. Very large central area. Pool was out of commission. Location is rather remote. maintenance could be better, shower head was not fixed and made taking a shower difficult. It was not repaired during our stay.
We stayed for two nights in September, although it was more then 30 C° outside the nice advertised pool stayed closed. This was not mentioned on the Website though. First night we ordered room service we went down to the bar to order, as there was no menu in the room. Besides that the food was served differently than mentioned in the menu the food itself was alright (Clubsandwich came in a bagel and the caramel sauce of the cheesecake was some alcoholic fruit sauce). On the second day I decided to give the room service another try and called reception for a room service menu so I could place an order. I was transferred to the bar where I was told that I would get charged 3€ in order to get the menu brought up to the room. This was confirmed by reception, the suggestion was that I should come down to the bar to place my order and then the food would be brought up for an additional fee of 3€. It's normal that there is a room service fee, however to charge additional 3€ just to see the menu is insolent. Besides that internet was not working and kept on loading, so I had to use my dada. This was suppose to be an relaxing stay but unfortunately it was more annoying then anything else. Breakfast team was friendly even though the breakfast buffet itself was rather poor.
We stayed for only one night and for a 4 stars Hotel, that was the most frustrating, inadequate, ineffective, inferior, insufficient, lame, mediocre hotel that we were in Spain. It had dust all over the place and a window broke that not even close and we listen noite, the cars all night. The pictures speak for themselves. I Would not recommend it.
We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The 2 lifts are very small and one was broken during our stay. The family room we had was a duplex and comfortably slept 5. The room was spacious and clean with a mini fridge but no coffee making facilities. There was a lack of staff on hand but there are nicer restaurants within walking distance.
We booked a family room (last-minute) for one night and what a perfect way to spend the last day of our hols!! This hotel is the best value for money deal I have come across! Clean spacious rooms, maybe not modern but that's the old-world charm too! Mainly the service at reception/ breakfast bar/ pool bar was fabulous! Nothing was too much to ask, very flexible ,could have a late check-out , breakfast with a lot of fresh fruit and tostadas con tomate etc! I don't understand what some other reviews complain about?! If we come to Seville again we will definitely consider staying here just coz of the service! This is what hospitality really should be about! Not just the interiors of a hotel but the actual customer-friendliness of their staff! Thank you Exe Gran for the grand time :) Seema, Jan Peter and kids
We booked online and choose Exe Gran for its nearby location to Seville, reasonable price, acceptance of pets and four star status. We arrived late in the afternoon and were greeted by friendly staff. Good. The rest was bad. The pictures posted on Booking.com and the real life experience stood in stark contrast: the hotel is outdated and sad, the rooms in dire need of renovation with cracks in the bathroom furniture, holes in the curtains and the ceramic on the floor looked dirty. Breakfast terrible. A very limited buffé where nothing was freshly baked, cooked or pressed. Even the marmalade was bad. This hotel deserves some TLC. Friendly staff and good location if you visit Seville by car. How on earth it could get four stars is incomprehensible and deceiving.
Exe Gran Hotel Solicar is quite far from the city but fine if you are travelling by car. Free parking out front of the hotel. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the staff have bus timetables which they provide. Takes approx 40 mins to get to the city bus station and costs 1.65 euros. It is walking distance to all the major sights from the bus station. The rooms are a good size, clean and very comfortable. Bathroom is very good but the bedroom decor is a little dated. The breakfast area is like a cafeteria and the food is ordinary. There have been lots of complaints from previous reviews about the breakfast but all I can say is that you get what you pay for. If you want 5 star food and service then you should pay more and stay somewhere else. Value for money the hotel is very good and the staff were helfpul and friendly. Every day there seems to be large tour groups from Japan/China. They arrive late and leave early so would recommend getting down to breakfast after 9.00am
We stayed two nights at the Exe Gran Hotel. The hotel furniture is very simple but clean. Our room had two single beds upstairs and two single beds and sofa downstairs. My kids loved the room. There was only one bathroom upstairs. The room was quite and clean however the beds were not comfortable. Not too many choices for breakfast. Parking and Internet were free.
