The place was well kept, clean and tidy. Most of all, it has lift for me to take the heavy luggages up to the first floor. Other than that, this hotel is really suited for long stays for those who are looking at long stay.

relaxing in Bad Lauterberg

Restaurant serves excellent german cuisine. Very friendly service. very modern bathroom. nicely updated rooms. good shopping/cafes a few blocks away. wonderful tram which goes up to lookout point with cafe and full view of valley. mineral baths nearby, but did not have time to use. close to Gottingen for day trip which we enjoyed a lot.

Leider wurde die anfängliche Begeisterung über eine vermeintlich sehr schön gelegene Ferienwohnung schnell getrübt. Bei der Buchung und auf der Buchungsbestätigung war für die Wohnung immer die Adresse des Hotels angegeben, sprich mitten im Ort, direkt am Kurpark gelegen. Nach der Buchung bekamen wir eine automatische Nachricht, dass die Wohnung 2km vom Hotel entfernt sei. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns dann recht schnippisch mitgeteilt, dass wir das ja gesehen hätten, wenn wir über das Hotel direkt gebucht hätten und dann wäre es auch günstiger gewesen. Kein besonders guter erster Eindruck. Wie sich dann rausstellte, lag die Wohnung auch noch am Hang, so dass sie nur dann zu Fuß zu erreichen ist, wenn man hier nicht eingeschränkt ist. Wir mussten am Ende mehr mit dem Auto fahren, als geplant war. Die Wohnung selber ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung, es ist alles vorhanden, an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas unpraktisch eingerichtet, gerade für längere Aufenthalte ist die Küche sehr winzig, der Wohnbereich für zwei Personen viel zu üppig. Was uns am meisten geärgert hat war, dass die Wohnung nur oberflächlich sauber war. Bei genauerem Hinsehen fand sich Staub, Spinnweben und besonders im Bad u.a. noch Haare der Vormieter. Hier muss hin und wieder dann doch mal eine Grundreinigung erfolgen. Von einer Ferienwohnung die zu einem Hotel gehört, erwarte ich sowas eigentlich. Da hatte ich bei privaten Anbietern bisher mehr Glück.

Das Essen war leider viel zu teuer und war geschmacklich auch nicht immer gut. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mundschutz haben die Mitarbeiter getragen, aber manche nicht richtig. Die Lage ist okay, Restaurants und Sehenswertes sind in der Umgebung.
