3rd or 4th Sunday lunch here at the five bells, it's a friendly place to eat, simple food well cooked, which is great for a Sunday lunch. The owner and staff always make you feel important to them, all to often missed in today's chain restaurants.

I had arranged a Birthday Buffet for my husbands birthday - I discussed food, drink and Mary gave me helpful advice....the result was amazing food, good price and great ambience you couldnt want more; staff friendly and helpful; I really couldnt have asked or wanted more. Highly recommended

We popped into this pub by chance, and so glad we did. Staff very friendly , food was nice , had an outside courtyard and a hidden gem was an outhouse that had pool table, darts boards, giant connect 4 and duke box and had the place to ourselves all evening in there .

Stayed here last night. We rang them prior to our stay to see if we could check in early as we were attending a wedding nearby. No problem, and we were warmly welcomed by the landlady's lovely daughter on arrival. Our double en-suite room was clean, had tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, TV and everything else we needed. We met the landlady, Mary when we came back in the evening who was also very friendly. In the morning we met two more members of staff who served us a great breakfast. All the staff here are lovely, welcoming and obliging. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Delicious, homey food for an excellent price, cosy and nice interior, super friendly staff, and a good selection of drinks. Will definitely come back here when we’re in the area next time. 10/10 recommend going here for a good time.

Stayed here the night before a family wedding in December. The staff were very nice and helpful, and very friendly. We stayed in the family room and had a great nights sleep, the bed and linen were perfect. Breakfast was also great. Thank you!!!

Had a family birthday bash nothing to loud but enough of us. Mary the landlady was fantastic making sure the food was ok and out on time and that every one had drinks to the point she came to us to save us waiting at the bar. Ok if you want really fancy setting go to a high class restaurant but if you want a warm family welcome with traditional service then go and see Mary and her staff at the 5 Bells. It might not be everyone’s taste but if your old school and like the family friendly warm welcome then you will find it here...Thankyou all at the Bells great job keep it up

I said at The Five Bells for one night. The room and bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. The landlady Mary, is a sweet lady and her and the rest of the team very friendly.

We stayed over the weekend as our family were hosting a party at the five bells (which was excellent) and I wanted to take the time to review the b&b and we were staying with our 2 1/2 year old daughter. Before we arrived we were called to ask what type of set up would we like in the family room and this was all set up before we arrived. The room itself was spacious and child friendly and our daughter loved the jets in the shower! The pub has a wonderful children’s play area where it is safe to let them play whilst you sit on a nearby bench. My daughter loved the playhouse and the diggers and it was a lovely touch. The breakfast was excellent (my daughter can be very fussy when it comes to food and nothing was too much trouble - Mary even turned the tv onto Cbeebies for us as we were the only ones up at that point) Overall it was a great stay and we would love to visit again in the future - thanks Mary.

A nice country pub with B&B facilities. Our room was quite small with an adjacent rather than ensuite bathroom but it was comfortable, tea and coffee and TV in the room, a nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Limited parking but free public car park very close by.
