I stayed in this gite for 2 weeks while I attended French immersion classes at the Coeur de France. It is about a 4 minute walk from the gite as is the centre of the village. The gite itself is very spacious and comfortable and very clean, but it does have 2 flights of quite steep stairs, one from the ground level entrance up to the main level and another one up to the bedrooms and full bathroom. There is a water closet on the main level as well as a laundry room with sink, washer & dryer, kitchen dining table and sofa and chair. The kitchen is well equipped, and I cooked full meals there most evenings. The hosts, Laurence and Laurant were so kind and welcoming and went above and beyond to be helpful, picking me up at the train upon arrival and taking me back to the train for departure, as well as taking me to the supermarket so I could stock up on provisions. There is a general store in the village where you can pick up a few basics as well as a lovely boulangerie right down the street from the gite and everything is walking distance. I would not hestitate to stay there again, and will miss my little home away from home in Sancerre!
