This was a very basic, small room with a bathroom with shower. It is in a great location— easy walk to the beach, many restaurants, & shopping. It also had a balcony that was big enough to sit in. The staff was not very responsive on messaging. I sent a couple of messages that weren’t ever answered. It also says that they have someone in “reception” most of the day, but I never saw a reception area. When I arrived at the time I told them, no one was there to meet me and I didn’t see any reception desk/office. They came about 30 minutes later.

This was a great base for exploring San Sebastian. It's just a couple of minutes from the old town, the beach and Downtown. The staff were helpful and the room was well-equipped and comfortable. The only slight downside was that clearly a child lives above and with the hard wood floors, I could hear them running up and down - not a big problem as they went to bed early!

Excellent Location

The Pension Urkia is in an excellent location: it is walking distance to the beach, shopping, bars and restaurants. Our balcony had a wonderful view of the street. The bed was a bit firm, but everything else was pleasant.

Everything was fine except for the fact the noise was unreal. All night long banging of doors. Every morning at 7 AM there is a school below you and the talking begins every day. So loud that you could hear them inside your room with windows closed and music playing. A solid night sleep was impossible there. I almost went crazy. Only book if you are there for one night only
