Great stay
The property itself is peaceful and beautiful. The pool is great. There was an iguana over the front gate to the property several times; We think he lives there and that was a cool experience. A lot of birds in the trees.
There is a little store down the street, maybe just a five minute walk, that we didn't realize was there until our last day there.
The closest restaurant is Atami Restaurant and that walk gets long fast. I recommend considering renting a car if you stay; that is one of our regrets, because we didn't rent one. We tried to use Uber a few times but we were only successful once out of probably 25 times. The distance to El Tunco and El Zonte is not far, but you won't be able to walk it. We would just walk to the Atami Resort and ask them to call a taxi, which worked every time. Rides were between 8 and 15 dollars.
There is beach access once you arrive at the Atami Resort and it has a couple places to eat and drink. The beach is good for surfing and swimming.
Overall, we loved the house and we would stay again, but next time we would rent a car so we didn't have to walk so much and rely on taxis.
