Our family of ten stayed at Floreo’s Bella Mar Villa in Belize over Christmas. We arrived on Christmas Eve and stayed through the 30th. First, the good points. The house was very large and extremely well equipped with plenty of spaces for our group of four young adults and six adults. The pool was very nice and the views were spectacular. The dock was handy and enabled pick up by the dive boat. There were several really good restaurants nearby on our end of the island, especially The Black Orchid and Some Place South. Next, the bad points. We arrived right after a thunderstorm so the pool was strewn with leaves and fronds and the pool area had storm debris. As no pool cleaning service came until mid week, we had to clean up the pool and the surrounding area. The exterior of the house is in poor shape with rusting stair railings and no slip strips coming off the stairs. It looks neglected. The beach area is not as nice as indicated in the photo. It is small and the sand sparse. The worst aspect of this house is that it is south of downtown. To get to the house you must travel over a horribly potholed road in a golf cart for about 1.5 miles. It took about 20 minutes to get to downtown which only 3.5 miles away. The first two miles are decent. The rest is awful. Not good if you have back issues. The concierge was responsive to a problem we had with flooding in the lower bedroom, probably from a faulty air conditioner. They also helped arrange for our golf carts an
