House was so beautiful and clean! Doris and her staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and took such good care of us. I would recommend this place over and over. Doris is also a wonderful cook.

Solmates property was perfect for my family of 7. We loved the house, the pier for fishing, the pool, the hammocks outside, the Crow's Nest, the visiting dogs, the quiet setting, the golf carts for transportation, and of course the amazing hosts, Doris and Lily who fed us so well and even our picky kids enjoyed the meals. Definitely recommend for a peaceful family getaway.

We loved our stay at Solmate. The property was as advertised. Beautiful grounds and views of the water. The reef was very close and we snorkled often. We were met by staff with a wonderful spread of delicious snacks, fruit and refreshing coconut milk drink. Our cooks were exceptional! Everything was great. Would definitely recommend and would book again.

The house was beautiful decorated, spacious and well equipped. The cooks Doris and Lily were amazing! They made our stay! They cooked anything we asked for-even made baby plates ( Mickey Mouse pancakes) for our toddlers. Golf carts were a big hit to tour around the island and fish while others scuba dive. Unfortunately the sargassum/bugs were present but we were able to kayak beyond out to the reef. The pool was a huge hit and esp safe for the little ones with the fence surround. I have no suggestions for improvement as it was just perfect for our multigenerational family vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Solmates property. We were treated like family and everything was amazing. Doris and the staff were amazing and made the stay so much more fun! Oh and did I mention the food??? OMG it was awesome! Every meal was delicious! Doris even cooked gluten free options for a couple of our group! Overall 12/10!

The home and grounds were beautiful! Mrs. Doris was amazing! She fed us and took care of any thing that came up. The seaweed was a bit of a problem but that was certainly not their fault! We went to Secret Beach several days, very nice down there! It was a great trip. But be aware the property is about 45 minutes out of town!

Family trip to Paradise!!!

What can we say, It exceeded ALL of our expectations in every way! Casa de Playa Solmate is one of our very best vacation get aways ever! The property is exceptional and just the right floor plan for our family group of seven adults. The location was private, just far away enough form the bustle of San Pedro and yet close enough by one of the properties golf catrs for a morning or after

We stayed at Solemates over Halloween and had a fabulous experience! The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the amenities were great. From the moment we landed, we were taken care of. Upon reaching the house, there was a full spread of food awaiting us. The fishing and snorkeling excursions were so good. The real highlight of the trip was Doris and her sister, Lily, who did all the cooking. The food was outstanding! Our favorites were the coconut curry lobster, ceviche, and conch fritters. Doris is absolutely irreplaceable. She made sure everything was top notch and special for us. She and Lily even taught me how to cook traditional Belizean dishes. I am recommending Solemates to all my friends.

Great Getaway

Great stay, great place, great people. Close enough to town to be accessable, but a bit of a drive. Hill's activities were top notch. Doris cooking was superb. Can't say enough about how well everything was taken care of. Definitely coming back to this one.

Family trip to Belize

The property and home was beautiful!Incredible help with anything we needed. Doris was a fabulous cook!It was a long ride into town. Also the water had a lot of garbage in it, no fault of the owners! They cleaned the beach daily!

The team at this house makes your stay! Doris and Lilly took great care of us and made awesome breakfasts and dinners every day, Barney and his crew also keep the place in great shape and were always there to help us schlep our bags in from the dock etc... We happened to be there during a cold snap, but 75 degrees still felt great to us Midwesterners. The place is definitely out of the way so make sure you stock up on drinks, snacks etc.. on your way to the house (I recommend the boat ride with Hill) and having golf carts to get around the island is essential. We had 4 couples, the fourth bedroom being changed to bunk beds was a bit of a struggle but we made it work. Otherwise the layout of the house was perfect. There is currently a seawood issue so swimming on the beach or off the dock at the house is not a great option. However, pack your coolers and take a cruise to either Tranquility Bay or Secret Beach, stop at all of the roadside places along the way. We also drove in to town one day and had a great time and we had Hill take us to Caye Caulker for a day, there seems to be less seawood over there.We are from Missouri and even for us the bugs were on a different level, bring your bug spray and apply it like sunscreen.

Great Belize stay

This property is lovely with many perks like a screen porch, pool, and swing on the dock perfect for reading and chatting. The most beloved part of our stay was the cook and property manager Doris. What a delight! She was kind, helpful, and made terrific meals. The house location is away from the village

Casa de Playa Solmate

Solmate is an incredible home with top class service from Tropic Air bookings, transportation, Doris and team welcome. They took care of every need. Food was a delight prepared with love from Doris. Our snorkeling and fishing excursions were the ultimate experience. Highly recommend the beauty and soul of this resort in a home!

Paradise on Earth!

Cannot recommend this place enough! It was literal paradise on earth! The host handled our island flight, transportation to and from the airport, excursions through the house, & of course, Ms. Doris’s cooking is the absolute best part of the trip! The couple of times we ate out, we immediately missed her cooking. Everything was perfect & the best get away!!

Beautiful property, great chef

The property was beautiful! The pictures on the listing were pretty accurate. Very clean! Loved the art so much that I bought some. Pool was perfect temperature. The best part of the stay was the chef! The food was very very good and timing was exactly what we agreed on every single time. The Excursions were super easy to plan with Hill.

Need to see it to believe it!

Do not hesitate to book this place. Trust the reviews, the praise for Doris and the rest of the staff. This was without a doubt the best VRBO I have ever stayed in. It was also the best mini vacation that I have been on. Also, get out and snorkel, it was so worth it. Great memories and great times!

Fantastic property and staff

I can’t say enough about the quality of this property the staff. Dorris, Hill, Barney and the rest of the staff made this an one of the best vacations our group has ever enjoyed. If you are looking for a place to stay near San Pedro I can’t imagine you would find a more enjoyable location to stay. All we needed to do was show up and every detail was taken care of, both at the property and all the activities we wanted to do in Belize with the time we had. Thank you Pam and Bob for creating such an amazing property and hiring such great people to staff it. Book this property without hesitation.
