Great rooms right over the water. Feels like you're part of the lagoon with the glass floors. We loved the rooms, restaurant with Hector & Lucky and the bar/pool with Raymond. It was our first stop in Belize and had a great time hanging out and getting to know everyone there. Great food and drinks...best staff in Belize. We'll definitely be back!
For our first time in Belize we truly believe we made the best decision to stay at Lina Point. It’s convenient but not in the hustle of San Pedro! Very clean and comfortable! The view from our own personal pool, swings, and deck is amazing! We feel like we are the only people around yet the staff here are super attentive and helpful! They helped us arrange a golf cart and a couple excursions through Caribbean Adventures which we loved!! Thank you so much for everything and for helping make our honeymoon vacation a very memorable one! We would recommend Lina Point to anyone traveling to San Pedro!
Great little place of peace and quiet on an otherwise overly commercial and unpleasant island. This place and it's employees are clearly the diamond in the rough. As this is a rather small resort, it's extremely personal. Everyone I encountered became fast friends. The restaurant is small, but Chef Hector is amazing. Our bartender Clive was a peach! Even our housekeeper was a sweetheart. We met almost everyone staying there that night and quickly made friends for the evening to enjoy dinner, drinks and then the best breakfast at Estel's downtown before the water taxi out. The resort was very clean. We had an over the water bungalow. It was clean, very quiet and extremely relaxing. There were a few minor hiccups. However none of them were bad enough to keep me from coming back. The biggest of those issues was that you cannot swim in the lagoon. A restaurant down the road that shares the shore of the lagoon has apparently been feeding the crocodiles creating nuisance crocs and a very dangerous situation. While we didn't personally see any in the lagoon, they are there. Just be mindful if you are bringing small kids. Other than that, this was a great pic of a resort if relaxation is your agenda.
This was the perfect place to stay! It was affordable, quiet and safe. The staff was outstanding and very attentive to any needs we had. We spent 2 of our 10 days just lounging around the pool while Clive kept our glasses full. The views are what you would want while in Belize.
It was an amazing beautiful Bungalow, very quiet and nice staff, Belize was just what we needed. Couldn’t have been more pleased, would definitely recommend, My wife & and I been married for 18 years and we fell in Love all over again👍🏾❤️🍾🏆
The pictures look pretty but you are a sitting duck for burglars visiting you at night. You will have no protection or person to hear you scream. Sorry to say but this is an unfortunate fact of staying in this aea.
If you want to be in the hustle of San Pedro this will not be the place for you. If you want a boutique hotel with only 8 rooms, a lovely view of both sunrise and sunset, an extremely clean room with obvious pride in the property (kudos Tula and staff), this just may be your ticket! Although this is about 15 min from downtown, arrangements will be made for your arrival and departure pick-ups if within normal business hours. The surrounding area is developing quickly so be aware as of this writing there is construction going on, however, this did not negatively impact our stay. They also have arrangements with a company called Carabean Adventures to make tours convenient. We enjoyed the sailing/snorkeling trip immensely.
My wife and I stayed at Lina Point for a week and it was such a treasure find. The people were so pleasant and will to help make our stay a five star experience. From Tula and David at the reception area, to Hector and Lucky the Chef's. With special thanks to Tula for help make all the little things we needed easy. With out question Hector was top notch too. He always made me feel welcomed and treated me like i was family. He even showed me how to make Belizian Chicken and I made some about two weeks after I was home and it turned out awesome. It was a total hit. So thank you Hector and the rest of the gang for treating us like family. This is the place to stay in San Pedro.
We stayed 7 nights at the Wahoo cabana. Very clean. AC kept the place nice and cool and the hot water works great. Peaceful and relaxing when the nearby construction workers go home (they work Sunday-Friday 8-6ish). You can't get in the water at the resort because of the jellyfish that has infested the lagoon where the cabanas are. There is only one swimmable beach on the entire island, because of all the seaweed clogging the beaches. The swimmable beach is called Secret Beach and it is a very bumpy 30 minutes away via golf cart from San Pedro. The resort restaurant is a joke, a very small menu and many of the menu items are not available most of the time. I am deathly allergic to gluten (I have to carry an Epi-pen) and they treated me like a picky eater and were very unhelpful when I asked them for substitutions. Their attitude is "take it or leave it." There are some other restaurants 10 minutes away that were pretty good. It takes forever to get your food after you order. Except for the bartenders, the resort staff are not friendly, no matter how nicely we greeted them and the fact that we still tipped them well. They have plans for construction well into the foreseeable future, so if you want to just hang out or sleep in you can forget about it during the day. The walls in the cabana were very thin (we were in a duplex), so we could hear everything being said in the next room. I accidentally started operating the Alexa in the next room when I told our Alexa to skip a song...in a normal voice. Overall it is a beautiful place for a couples getaway. If they changed up the resort staff, I would stay again.
Lina Point is close to San Pedro but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. We really could watch the fish swimming underneath our room through the window in the floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clive at the bar went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Hector the chef was simply amazing. He prepared our fresh caught snapper and it was delicious!! And the sunsets over the lagoon were just epic!! Loved this place!!
