Welcome to Casa Botanika, a custom built designer pool house in a private gated neighborhood in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Just 15 minutes from San Juan Airport, Old San Juan, and Condado Beach. A world away from everything else.

This was my grandmother’s flower shoppe. Flowers have always thrived here. Every arrangement that left here was on its way to someone’s most important day. Transforming it felt like the most natural continuation of what it always was, a place that makes people feel alive. Here, the tropical oasis isn’t something you visit. It’s something you disappear into. Fresh flowers will be waiting when you arrive.

THE HOUSE

Casa Botanika is a split level open plan studio designed to blur the line between inside and outside. Full width black steel folding doors open the entire living space directly onto your private pool and tropical garden.

The teal lacquered kitchen features brass hardware, a French door stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, open shelving, and acrylic bar stools at the counter. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from morning coffee to dinner at home.

The queen Murphy bed is dressed in soft bamboo linens and faces the full width glass doors, so you wake up looking directly onto the pool and garden. During the day, the bed folds away, transforming the space into an open living area. A folding desk makes working from here effortless, while a cozy reading nook gives you a quiet place to settle in.

Two steps up takes you to the bathroom, finished in polished cement with a sculptural backlit mirror, warm brass details, and a playful pink cactus faucet. The open shower features both a rainfall showerhead and handheld shower.

Design details are everywhere, from the Italian floors and gold ceiling fan to the magenta and orange pendant light, botanical wallpaper, and brass sconces.

THE POOL AND GARDEN

Your private pool sits in a curated tropical garden filled with banana trees, palms, bromeliads, cactus, ferns, and lush greenery. Stepping stone paths wind through black gravel beds, while bamboo fencing covered in vines creates a natural sense of privacy.

At night, fairy lights wrap the palms and the garden takes on an entirely different atmosphere. The pool, glowing umbrella, tropical foliage, and warm lights make evenings here feel wonderfully removed from the outside world.

THE PATIO

The patio is designed as an outdoor living room, with a full white sectional layered with colorful cushions, an Acapulco wicker chair, coffee table, and two sun loungers.

There is a pizza oven and charcoal BBQ for relaxed evenings outdoors, plus an outdoor canopy bed for reading, napping, or sleeping beneath the tropical night sky.

THE LOCATION

Casa Botanika gives you the best of both worlds. You are tucked inside a quiet, genuinely residential gated neighborhood, yet close to everything.

Restaurants, groceries, a wine bar, bakery, and San Patricio Plaza are nearby. Old San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde, Plaza Las Américas, and San Juan Airport are approximately 15 minutes away, and beautiful beaches are about 10 to 15 minutes by car.

Uber is reliable in the area, and a car is helpful if you want to explore more of Puerto Rico, but you can easily manage day to day needs without one.

Casa Botanika is designed for two guests and is perfect for couples, solo travelers, remote workers, digital nomads, creatives, or anyone who wants a private retreat surrounded by nature and thoughtful design.
