We loved staying at the Villa Massis! They have created a piece of paradise. The room was perfect and comfortable, air conditioning was great, the pool was refreshing after busy days of tours. They served yummy food options and were attentive to details. Their new riverside bar area with a deck and steps down to the river is a fun and gorgeous setting. I would highly recommend staying here. They are about 10 minutes outside of town but close to restaurants and shops. They provide a lot of services on the property. Lucy was really great and helped us out with whatever we needed and Jason also made sure we were attended to and having a good time. You can book tours directly through them as well.

Villa Massis is a jungle paradise! It is situated amongst giant trees and large flowering tropical plants, right next to the quiet Mopan River. The pool was beautiful to swim in and lounge around. The staff are incredibly friendly: from the owner Larry to all the support staff, they really want guests to have a good time! They are proud of what this part of Belize has to offer. Larry coordinated transport to and from the airport, and set us up with drivers and guides for tubing down the river, swimming by waterfalls, exploring Xunantunich ruins with our knowledgeable guide Luis. Just what we’d hoped for in a jungle get away!

For anyone looking for a small beautiful hidden gem resort close to San Ignacio, I'd highly recommend Villa Massis in Bullet Tree Falls! It's only a quick 10 min drive into San Ignacio. We had a 2-bedroom suite for the 4 of us and it was perfect. We booked airport transportation, transfer to Placencia, several rides into San Ignacio and all of our tours with them. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us.

This place is a hidden gem, we sprung for the villa and it was well worth it. Missing this place as we’re in San Pedro, very new with all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. Villa Massis brings the amenities to the jungle, we loved seeing monkeys on the property. The staff and food were excellent, resort offers a very intimate dining experience. Don’t hesitate to book, highlight of our trip.

The setting was lovely, the restaurant excellent and the staff were even more wonderful. Smiling faces and genuine warmth! Helpful in every way! There’s a gate that gets locked at night, so be sure to let the staff know if you’ll be out after hours.

This was the most amazing room I have ever stayed at, like a home away from home. They really thought of everything! Pool could have been a bit warmer for February but the food was amazing, service and room and balcony just the best ever and so spacious. We were only there 3 nights but cause I could have stayed longer to really linger around the property.

Villa Massis is a Must!

Villa Massis is impressive. It has a wonderful jungle setting, yet it’s so close to town (10 minutes). The grounds are well-kept and beautiful. A spiral staircase led to our tastefully appointed loft complete with two bedrooms, kitchen, walk-in closet and bathroom. The setting is quiet, and the host is knowledgeable and accommodating. We highly recommend Villa Massis!

Spacious and beautifully decorated suite. Location is peaceful and 10 minutes from San Ignacio in a bend in the river- with Howlers and Toucans. We stayed at Villa Massis so we could see Caracol. The owner -Larry was on site and greeted us upon arrival, showed us around the property, and gave us tips on Belize from the "Ultimate Belize Bucket List- book that he had authored! Awesome.

My partner and I didn't quite know what ro expect from "luxury" accommodations in the jungles of Belize. Especially, as a gay couple, we can never be sure of the locals reception of us. We booked the Luxury Villa room. It was spacious and spotless with a wonderful shower and a comfortable king-size bed. An enormous veranda where you can enjoy a cocktail from the well-stocked mini bar overlooks the pool. There is also a comfortable sitting room and a huge kitchen area where you could prepare your own meals. The staff, Mel, Elvin, Lucy and Dan are absolutely the most welcoming people you would want to have looking after you while on vacation. There isn't enough space in a review like this to tell how often their truly genuine hospitality made our trip to Belize one of the most memorable vacations we have ever taken. Mel's meals deseve special mention What a fantastic cook she is! She even pepared a dinner just for us. There are plenty of places to eat in the area but don't waste your tastebuds going anywhere else. Mel is magical. Our day trips were flawlessly organized by Dan, who even took a day to give us a personal tour of the area, including the local market, Big Rock Falls and the Mayan ruins at Xunantunich. Larry has done a wonderful job creating an oaisis of comfort in the jungle. If you want a relaxing vacation with the option of adventurous day trips and outstanding meals this is the place for you.

Overall stay was okay. The staff were friendly. We had no hot water the entire stay. We mentioned it to the staff on the second day and they were unfortunately unable to repair this prior to us leaving in which we stayed for 3 nights. The hotel transportation to and from dinner was unreliable. We were dropped off in the evening for dinner in San Ignacio and they completely forgot about us. We could not get in contact with the owner (Larry) or any other hotel staff member. Everyone called him including the restaurant staff and every person in our party and there was no answer. The WhatsApp and Main Office numbers went unanswered as they all route to Larry and we did not receive a response until several hours afterwards. The town of San Ignacio shuts down after 10pm. The only reason we made it back to Villa Massis is due to the restaurant server asking his cousin who happened to be an off duty taxi to take us home. We received apologies from the driver the next day but our grievances are with the owner as he is the primary contact, the owner, the one who arranged our transportation, and the one the driver confirmed we needed to contact for a ride back home. The excuse was his phone died which we believe to be unacceptable considering you have 4 hotel guests that you dropped off on the middle of the city at night without any transportation. Overall 3/5 stars due to no hot water and leaving us stranded at night in the city. We hope this does not happening to anyone else.

Lari, meli y sus colaboradoras son super atentas y serviciales El lugar tiene cocina y muchas facilidades para relajarse y además cerquita tiene acceso a un río y meli hizo un pastel delicioso para el cumpleaños de mi pareja y una decoración espectacular
