The owner/staff was not friendly. Food at the restaurant was awful.

Although the hotel itself was good, management was terrible in a few ways; we were kicked out of their pool twice, i came with my mom and bf and they mistaken my bf for a non-visiting guest at the hotel. So when we jumped in the pool, a manager came up to us saying they will charge $10US for him using their pool because he wasn't a guest at the hotel. Our mood to swim was totally killed so we got out immediately. My mom cleared it up with them, but they never mentioned any pool rules like that (or any) when we checked in. 2nd attempt to swim we were already in the pool and were told to get out because the rain kept them from cleaning it. I'm just upset they were imcompentent to explain any of this beforehand or the least have a sign saying "pool closed" instead of killing the vibes. The TV in our room also had loose cables wires so the reception was unclear and fuzzy, even after they came by to fix it. On a positive note, the kitchen staff was great and their conch fritters were bomb.

Good Morning from Rolson Hotel. We apologize for any inconvenience cause but the moment you guys walked in to the hotel we asked the young guy if he was going to stay at the hotel because a extra fee was going to be charged , he said no that he was going to san Ignacio down town to find a place to stay. We were very polite while asking him. Our guest are so welcome to use the pool , but guest friends (outsiders) need to pay a fee of $10.00bz to use the pool. As for the rainy day, we have to clean & maintain the pool before we let guest in .
