Very friendly and helpful staff. Variety of menu choices. Beautiful scenic views from restaurant.
The cabanas are very unique and set away from the hotel on the hillside looking over the town of San Ignacio.
The public places decor and ambiance, 2 restaurants and pool area are all upto almost 5-star standards and stylish. Well tended for and beautiful garden. Restaurant has few choices but food was just ok. Desserts were good. The BADs: room decor is atrocious. There is no any kind of shelving in shower for toiletries. The plumbing is all loose (and they say it was just renovated???). No good lighting options on the room, all light is daylight bulbs and very harsh for nighttime. The balcony/patio does not have any tables. All minor issues but they amount to the carelessness towards guests comfort.
The property is in a wonderful location in San Ignacio. Close access to all area activities. The pool area and the valley view are wonderful. The rooms, however, are much in need of updating. The plumbing barely works, and there are no amenities in the rooms. There is no coffee pot or even cups in the bathroom. Breakfast is also not included in the price, which is inconvenient and time consuming. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and it is very convenient to book tours directly through the hotel. Overall, for the price, it was still a very good value.
Great views, nice pool and cheap dining options. Only con was that the room was dated.
Stayed in a hillside cabana. Nice screened in porch with chairs and a hammock. Beautiful pools. Helpful and courteous staff. Driveway: dirt, uphill with ruts and holes. Beds: could feel the springs in my side as I sleep
Had a great time. Would stay there again. Road could some improvements.
This hotel was awesome. The pools are well taken care of and the staff is friendly. The only downfall was that inside the cabanas there is no way to keep out the mosquitos and we were bitten all night making sleeping a bit impossible.
The huts on the hillside are really pretty with a nice view. Hot water is hit or miss. We would recommend booking your tours separately and not thru the hotel. There are several tour companies in San Ignacio. Carlos the cave man came highly recommended. Although this hotel is not a 10, it is one of the best in the area.
