Stayed for 7 nights in July We arrived late around 9pm in reception to check in, the place is beautiful and everything is spotless there’s no faulting that. There was a couple in front of us checking in and only 1 member of staff on the desk so we did have to wait quite a while when we were tired. The couple in front of us were also given complimentary champagne and we were not for some reason. We arrived at the room and there was some food that had been left for us as we had just missed dinner which was a nice touch. The room was lovely. It had a great smart TV and comfy sofas. My only complaint would be that we had booked a Junior suite with a double and when we arrived it was 2 single beds pushed together and as we are a couple, it was quite uncomfortable to sleep in. We were too tired to return to reception to ask why this was the case as we’d be travelling all day and we just slept on what we had been given. The overall stay was really good, just like what the reviews had said, every single facility was amazing and spotless. The buffet was really lovely, had so much choice and changed slightly each day. It was a great base for staying in Maspalomas as there was a free shuttle running to the beach many times each day so you could get around easily. My only other complaint was that the evening before our departure, we went to reception to ask about check out times for the following day and the man on reception said it was 12am check out which we were fine with. We turned to leave but he then asked us our room number then did some typing on his computer and said that we didn’t have to check out until 1pm which was a pleasant surprise as our flight home wasn’t until 7pm. However, the next day at around 12:15 we were suddenly locked out of our room and when we went to reception to ask why, the woman at the desk quite rudely told us off and said we should be out of the room already. We explained what the other receptionist had said to us the night before but she said that’s a mistake and he shouldn’t have said that and continued to tut and shake her head at us. We felt quite belittled and frustrated afterwards which wasn’t how we wanted to end our holiday. Overall I’d give the stay a 8/9 out of 10 and it definitely would be 10 if there was more staff especially behind reception and we’d been given a double bed.
Fabulous facilities - private bungalows with outside sun loungers. Pool with plenty of sunbeds with umbrellas, double sun loungers, private VIP sun lounge area with roof top pool, sauna and jacuzzi - ideal for couples get away. Breakfast buffet absolutely delicious, fresh cooked food and the waiters are so attentive and friendly. Pool drinks service with a smile and perfect for some quality time together. The only small downside is that we like to walk on an evening to the restaurants etc, however it is best to get a taxi £€3.50ish) as its too hot to walk and more on the main road into town so would not recommend walking) Lots of places to visit and perfect relaxing getaway away from it all.
Everything about this place was just amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive all the time. Check in was fast and efficient. Our walk to our Double deluxe with outdoor bathtub just made it even better. A fantastic pool with plenty of sunbeds for all. An elegantly decorated breakfast area. And then our room...!!! Spacious, beautiful, will all the amenities we needed, very very clean, comfortable beds to sleep in until late... Overall we just loved our stay here and can´t wait to be back! thank you!
We visited this hotel on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed! From the warmth of our reception on arrival by Gonzolo to our departure, the attention helpfulness and friendliness was sincere and couldn't have been bettered! We stayed in a deluxe double room which was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and with a huge, very comfortable bed and pillows! Half board suited us perfectly and if we needed a top up at lunchtime The Sunset bar offered a varied menu and at a reasonable price. Our alcohol needs round the pool were ably met by Ezekial ...we have never seen a person more happy in their work! A real asset to the hotel! The atmosphere through out the hotel was calm and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble! We had need at 7am one morning to call upon the Maintenance staff who swiftly and efficiently dealt with a very vocal cricket who had taken up residence in the service box behind the integral fridge. The food was varied and tasty, if a little cold on occasion, and the restaurant staff were hardworking and polite, ably led by Phillipe. The pool was fab and there were always sunbeds available at all time during the day. A massage in the Zen Spa was excellent and it was good to have a regular courtesy bus down to and back from the beach, a 10 minute drive, a long walk in the hot sun. We had a late flight home but the hotel let us keep our room until 6pm for a small fee To conclude, we had a fabulous break at this hotel and fully intend to return.
We recently returned from this amazing resort.Well what can I say about this resort 1st class all the way.Having stayed in similar resorts in Gran Canary this one is the only one I would go back to without hesitation. The food.cleanliness of all areas the staff.accommodation, position of the hotel to Maspalomas very quite but such a joy to stay.We are going back to this resort as soon as possible. Could I just mention particulr pool waiter that made our stay around the pool are such a joy. He was days off for our last 2 days and my goodness what a difference the other waiter was not in his league so friendly understanding of English nd he recommend a show of Cirque de sol nearby and even advised which seats to book. What as tar we had such an enjoyable evening at the show. The following day he came over to ask what it was like bless. His name is EZEQUIL CANOVAS THE POOL WAS A PLEASURE WITH HIM AROUND. I am sure that my pool bill was high because he was so friendly and available at all times on the 2 days he was not around i am sure that i only ordered one drink in 2 days. Good for me but not for your business. keep him on 7 days a week. Everything in this resort is 5 star.
We stayed for a week in a Junior Suite. We chose an adult only hotel because we wanted some peace and that’s exactly what we got. I’d encourage the hotel to keep up the policy of not reserving the sun beds - it’s just bliss being able to turn up at the pool at any time and find plenty of beds available. Some people did place their towels on the Bali style beds at the side of the pool which was just a bad reflection on them and their selfishness - there was really no need. The hotel is really clean and the staff work really hard. The food was really nice with a mixture of self serve salad bar and meat/fish cooked to your liking on the grill for dinner and plenty of choice for breakfast. I particularly liked the fact that the choice available made it very easy to eat healthily while you’re there. One comment I would make to hotel management is...the food labelling needs to be better. Three times I mixed what was labled as natural yoghurt with my oats in the morning, only to sit down and find it was coconut. This could cause serious issues for anyone with an allergy. It’s an easy one to fix. My husband also found cubes of potato mixed in with his melon on one occasion...again, we found this quite funny but it does need more attention from the staff because it could cause issues. The gym at the hotel is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen. Brand new equipment, all good and clean. The only downside was the heat. Windows were open which was nice but it did mean you didn’t get benefit from the air con. On departure there was a courtesy shower room (we left late afternoon) which was great. You could book this for 30min slots. The only issue was it had no air con so it was absolutely roasting in there. On the whole I can’t mark this place any lower than a 5 because it was lovely, just a few constructive things to work on.
The Club Maspalomas is by far the best hotel ever. On arrival we were greeted with kindness and even though we were early, the room was ready and we were offered a glass of sparkling wine in reception. The room was more than spacious for our needs, very clean lounge area, bathroom with rainfall shower and a king size bed, and all with air conditioning to keep you cool in those nights (by the way it is a very quiet system). The pool area, including the top deck pool are superb and the best we have encountered. The dining area which includes both indoor and outdoor seating, again very clean and expertly presented. Plus, there are enough sun beds for everyone, and everyone again. (No need to place your towels out early). Now, the staff... Best ever! They will make your stay, the best, from the cleaners who will greet you, the life guard who is in training to be a Coast Guard Air Sea rescuer, the kitchen staff, Laura who does the pool activities and demonstrations for cooking or drinks, Ezekiel who delivers drinks around the pool and seems to have endless energy, and so courteous- an absolute legend. The waitresses and waiters are stars in my eyes also. Not forgetting the staff in reception, with speaking 3 and a bit languages, they again will go out of there way to help and assist you in any way that can. In short, all the staff will go the distance to make you stay enjoyable, hence my review after 5 fantastic days with them. I am booking to go back next summer, it for 10 days...loved it so much. You will not be disappointed.
Club Maspalomas Suites & SPA is set in a quiet suburb far enough away from the hustle and bustle (‘Watney’s Red Barrel Brigade’and Irish Bars!) of Maspalomas. The reception, accommodation, garden areas, pools, restaurants and bar are well groomed, very clean and immaculately maintained. Reception staff are very friendly and always at hand to answer any questions, provide information and help to resolve any issues that you may have quickly and efficiently. Cleaning and maintenance staff are friendly, readily acknowledge guests and work hard and tirelessly to provide a first class service. For us, the accommodation was just right (Deluxe Double Room No.102). The bathroom was clean and modern with a good size walk-in shower, washbasin / vanity unit and hairdryer. Lounge area was a good size with sofa, cupboard space, mini fridge and flat screen TV. Electrical sockets are standard European with the added bonus of USB sockets for mobile phone charging. The double bed was larger than king size with a choice of firm or soft pillows. We found the bed very comfortable. Access to the room is by key card which also operates the room electrical system. Check out is at a very reasonable 12:00hrs, just remember that your key card will not operate after the check-out time. Water is available in your fridge for the first day, after that you will have to supply your own. We would prefer to have fresh water placed in the fridge everyday by the hotel and believe this should be within the cost of the room. The Bar stocks branded drinks and the prices are usually equivalent to the UK however, the measures are a lot more generous . Bar staff are friendly although can be a little slow due to a little too much chatting instead of concentrating on getting the drinks poured and served. The Bar area is clean and pleasant. The entertainment is varied and not excessive, though quite a few guests commented on the fact that it started a little too early and can be loud and distracting during the evening meal. We opted for Full-Board and highly recommend this option, not only from a cost point of view but also because of the quality. We found all meals of high quality and there are generally 2 Chef’s on hand to cook your choice from the meat and fish offerings. The buffet’s are of high quality and generous of choice. Don’t forget to say hello to the Chef’s and thank them for their hard work, this includes the servers who work hard and tirelesly with a big smile. Look on the web site and you will see there are 2 pools wich are immaculately kept by the maintenance and pool staff. Do not be tempted to try and reserve sun beds in the morning, it’s discouraged, rude and is not required. There are more than enough sunbeds even at busy times…though it’s never that busy. You also have the option to use the sunbeds outside your room which also includes a table and chairs. We chose back massages in the Spa which were excellent value for money and as I had pulled a muscle in my back, the massage did the trick. Good quality bicycles can be hired from reception and this includes a good quality helmet, which I recommend you wear when riding. Car hire reservations for the week or just the day can be made at reception at very reasonable prices. Add the extra 9 Euro per day for fully comprehensive all cover insurance. We hired for 2 days and drove the interior mountenous region which is highly recommended. There are plenty of interesting and scenic places to visit away from the tourist areas. Conclussion: Club Maspalomas Suites & SPA are setting the standards high. All the staff, without exception, are very friendly, helpful and were a joy to meet. They all work tirelessly to make you stay as easy and as pleasant as possible. If you do have any issues, don’t be afraid to ask or discuss it with them…they will help you. We very much enjoyed our time here and as all the staff say “We won’t say goodbye, we say, see you again soon”.
Just returned from a week at this beautiful accommodation. I thought it had just opened as everything was so clean and new. We stayed in a junior suite which was perfect for 2 friends. Loved the sunbeds in the pool and we never had to search for a sunbed on any day.The food was great although I think full board was a bit much and half board would have been better as there is so much at breakfast and dinnner. The spa was lovely and took advantage of a 15min massage for 12 euros. Would definitely recommend. Learnt to make Paella, and Roja Moja in a 15 minute cook class. Place was very couply. Pros: Great night sleep. Food and drink plenty of sunbeds adult only staff were so friendly and helpful. nothing to much So clean and fresh. dislikes: Yet again another push button hairdryer. Hate these Entertainment was quite under par. Queen and Jazz great, everything else would have been better being replaced with background music! Sun umbrellas only provided up one end of the pool, a few at the other end would have been great.
We stayed in Club Maspalomas in July 2019. Everything about the place met or exceeded our expectations. Food is really lovely. We booked breakfast only option but after trying both lunch and dinner in the restaurant we will consider All Inclusive next time. The pool is professionally cleaned . The staff is helpful and not invasive. The location is 10/10 as well. Not too close to the promenade but easily accessible by public transport, taxi and a car. Quiet and very relaxing.
