Umm...wow. You pay a pretty penny but boy is that reflected in the service. Emma blows away any of the other classic chain hotels. From the moment you step inside you are treated like royalty. Receptionist walked us to the elevator while reviewing all the complimentaries: a welcome margarita, bottled water in the fridge, slippers, robe, an aromatherapy night spray for your pillow. There is a turndown service at night where they leave locally made macarons. Bedding was fantastic. Morning coffee and fresh muffins served in the library. The rooftop pool has plenty of cushioned loungers, which I witnessed the staff promptly cleaning between guests. Pool towels, sunscreen, even flip flops provided. There is a bar with chair-side service. It felt like a resort. If you're just in need of a place to sleep while spending most of your time out and about, this place probably isn't for you. But if you're looking for a place to lay low and feel pampered, Emma is it.

Hotel Emma was a memorable stay for us both. We arrived after midnight and were still greeted by the valet parking attendant and the front desk staff. Being walked to the elevator was an extra special touch. There was HUGE attention to detail at the property. A hand-written postcard to us plus a macaroon for each of us when we arrived to the room. We will hopefully be back!

wonderful hotel and staff. the room and amenities were fantastic

The Hotel Emma is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed! From the moment we arrived until we checked out, nearly a week later, we were treated with the utmost kindness, courtesy, and professionalism (staff members of note: Anthony, Alec, Juan, Crystal & Julie). I simply love ❤️ this hotel ... which is not only a great place to stay, but a wonderfully restored historical property! I hope to visit again ... thanks so much for ensuring we had a relaxing vacation! 😀

This was our first time to San Antonio and The Emma. We couldn't have made a better choice. The hotel is unique and the staff is outstanding, with a special nod to the bartending staff. We'll definitely be back.

I would definitely stay at the Hotel Emma again... the hotel itself is one of a kind and incredible to just explore. The service was top notch without being stuffy... 2 thumbs up!

Wonderful hotel in the Pearl Brewery district. Walk the river or take the river taxi to the Riverwalk. Exceptional service and an amazing building. Ask for an architectural tour!

This hotel feels like it was plucked out of another era and a fabulous one at that.

Great hotel, wish it was closer to the River Walk (walking)
