A GREAT ,GREAT disapointement ,taking info account the Price ,very, very expensive, the dream ,i had done for This last night in Dominical republié .I would Never recommand This hotel to my friands and ôter people .Abeautiful hotel needs also to have customers for a minimum animation .
The hotel was beautiful, clean, and glamorous feeling. There were far less guests than I expected, so it felt very private. The grand lobby area and view of the marina with the infinity pools and the grounds was inviting and tropical. The staff was friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested that my experience was going well. I went by myself but I found it easy to talk with staff and other guests. The area is gated and I felt completely safe. The rooms were modern, clean, and had tasteful linens. Sitting on my balcony at the end of the day, with a beer in hand and a view of the marina activities, was truly unique. Regarding food: There are three restaurants and a small variety store. The Café Mar had reliably good food and a wonderful setting amidst the palms and infinity pool. The fish specials, and Arroz y Pollo Soup were among my favorites. The grilled pizza at the other restaurant was tasty- but you can't charge the bill to your room at that restaurant. It seems gratuities are also to be paid in cash. The hotel is non-inclusive and a bit off the beaten path if you don't have a car or scooter. Taxis are available but it seemed to me that 'ground transportation' was relatively expensive. If you fly into Santo Domingo, the hotel is 2 hours away so be warned that you are 'not home' yet. Samana is a nice area to visit with different possibilities for excursions from the hotel such as Limon Waterfall, 'Bacardi Island', and Rincon Beach. I didn't try the spa for those pampering minded travelers.
I can’t find better world to use then oh WOW! This place is amazing, the view, the room, the water everything it was just perfect for me the wife and my daughter. We are going back in July.
None of the locals new this property as the Bannister Hotel. They call it Puerto Bahia. The location is spectacular. The restaurant Cafe del Mar sits on an outcropping with an infinity pool and the food is great. Staff was extremely helpful.
will return for a longer period. the property is new and very good shape. great views
