amazing view to the bay with the option of a private and public beach. many excursions and things to do. The snorkeling experience is amazing, with friendly staff and many sites to visit including the famous island and beach Cayo Levantado. Be ready to pay 70 dollars for this experience. The food is really really good. It is not sub par or terrible like other All-Inclusive hotels. The beach can be better but that is understandable but the proximity to the town center, literary 1 minute away makes up for it. shuttles are available to the town every hour.

Relaxing and pleasent experience. Lobby, buffett, swimming pool and jacuzzi all in close proximity. Little disappointed in selection on buffett, looked more for international flavor, serving many different cusines. Restaurants were very good, had excellents meal in French and Italian restaurants. Disappointed in being charged to visit other Bahia Principe resort. 100.00 per person. I stayed in Bahia Principe in La Romana, used both facilities, not charged. Bedrooms here, small by size, and bathrooms very small. To use other swimming pools and jacuzzi, had to walk many steps to snack bar or go to lobby and they would furnish ride in a cart. Entertainment adequate at their 10:45 pm start each night. You have to take elevator to the beach, but still interesting ride. Mini bar stocked each day.

Everything was beyond perfect !! I give it 5 stars

An exceptionally beautiful place. The facilities are immaculately kept, the food is very good, drinks are so-so, but the staff is friendly and very helpful. Front desk people have a chip on their shoulder but they do their job as required. The Samana bay is gorgeous, the beach perfect, and the elevator ride quite interesting. The gathering area overseeing the city is outstanding, the music great to dance to, and the service on point. Take the family and enjoy.

We had a great time. An amazing views of the island.

I Hotel was great the people was really nice and in the town was beautiful.

The hotel was comforting & relaxing. But I don't go away to relax. Hotel policy prohibits washing cloths to its customers, cloths are considered a "luxury". Hotel doesn't offer jet skiing or parasailing. Not to mention, this website only offered me Santo Domingo airport which is 2 hours away from resort. Ridiculous. And I booked my stay at an "adults only" resort, only to get there & see that it was false advertisement.

I chose this hotel based on the ratings and comments from an online hotel review website. The location of the hotel is awesome and the staff were all very pleasant and attentive to my needs. The room decor needs to be updated and the gym equipment, but other than that, it was avery nice stay. I did not like the fact that the advertise as an adults-only hotel but make no mention that they switch to family from May to October. I booked the hotel because it was supposed to be adults-only, but I went in June and they had switched to family by then. That was the only major disappointment.

No wi-fi outside of lobby and bland repeat food, ok

EXCELENTE,SERVICO Y CALIDAD EN TODAS LAS AREAS. EMPLEADOS CON CONOCIMIENTO DE SERVICIO Y AMABILIDAD.

We spent a little over two weeks un DR for our honeymoon. Stayed 7 days in Juan Dolio (terrible). Unfortunately only stayed 4 days in gran Bahia principle. If we would of known how much we would enjoy it, we would of stayed a lot longer.

I'm very happy! it was very exciting, the animation program and everything it was not time to feel boring. the food buffet variation was excellent and service just greats i don't have nothing to complained

Booked this hotel because stayed at another Bahia Principe and liked it and the view of the location in the pictures. It was breathtaking, loved it, but that was all we've got. Everything else was mediocre the food, drinks, entertainment, Etc. If you are looking for just R&R vacation this might be the place for you. JD

I will never stay at a Bahia resort again. It was impossible to get a reservation at the specialty restaurants. The bathtub was old and worn. The hotel lost power and could not get the generator to start back up. After 8pm there were no activities or entertainment.

We truly enjoyed ourselves! We had lots of fun! The only thing I didnt like about the hotel is the area, it is very close to the locals in the area. We did meet some wonderful ppl from all over the globe :) and staff was super nice, attentive and respectful! We would def come back. Definately a great experience!!

Great experience. Very friendly staff. Alot of walking up stairs. My legs hurt the second day but after that I was fine.

We went to Samana for our honeymoon and had such a great time! We booked the airport transfer when we booked the hotel knowing it would be easier and we are so happy we did. The transfer is long but so worth it. Once we got to the resort we were greeted with such kindness. We were promised a honeymoon upgrade that we never received but the language barrier made it hard to figure it out! The place is beautiful and the staff couldn't be nicer. Dario and Angel at the bar are the BEST!!!

my husband and i reserve for the sea view room and it was breath taking. the experience at the hotel was super lovely and the food super gourmet. i would go back definitively and take my family. but is best for couples.

the hotel was good but the food was ok. The view from the hotel was very beautiful

Just got back 06-11-2012. View from our room was beautiful! Buffet was good for the most part. Very warm in the dinning area. The premium "themed" restaurants were ok, however the Maitre'D was very snobbish and unfriendly, he handed my wife and I dirty glasses at the gourmet restaurant, there was also a dead lizard on the floor at the table next to ours! As a matter of fact 90% of the male staff were very aloft and snobbish, there were a few that treated us well, especially Victor. The female staff were excellent and very kind, especially Sorquey, the bar tender at the main beach. A couple of disturbing things happened while we were there. Early Saturday morning when we went to the main pool, a man stood next to the wall in the water on the dark side of the pool, I looked down and he was masturbating in the water while watching the women on the opposite side of the pool. I promptly told my wife and child and went to the hotel staff, where I was told..."What could we do about t?". I was disgustingly amazed! Then the pool activities director (The guy who calls the bingo games) tried to pick up my wife! He'd enlisted her to play a ring toss game and she was one of the winners. He told her that if she went to the Disco that he would give her her prize there. She started to feel uncomfortable and said "No, thanks, I don't disco, and I'm here with my baby and husband". He then said "Leave your baby with your husband and come tonight." Unbelievable. Very unengaged male staff except when trying to get a date!
